A win is a win 😭
And before you laugh, yes, it's actually real.
In my first RWA series, I used a wristwatch as an example of an asset that can be tokenized.
Today, let's look at other real-world assets that can be tokenized.
First things first...
There are two major types of assets:
• Tangible Assets
• Intangible Assets
Tangible assets are physical things you can see and touch.
Intangible assets exist, have value, but aren't physical.
Let’s start with tangible assets.
Real Estate is one of the most popular examples.
Imagine owning a fraction of a commercial building in Lagos or a luxury apartment in New York.
That's exactly what RWA tokenization makes possible.
Instead of buying the entire property, ownership can be split into tokens people can buy.
Another example is commodities.
Gold, silver, cocoa, coffee, cotton and similar assets can all be tokenized.
Traditionally, getting exposure to these assets required serious capital.
But tokenization changes that.
Platforms like
@totofinance are building infrastructure for tokenized commodities like gold, silver, diamonds, and other real-world assets, aiming to make traditionally institutional markets more accessible.
The first time I saw tokenized cocoa, I was honestly shocked.
Like… you're telling me I can own a token representing cocoa?
Apparently yes.
@MANTRA_Chain, in partnership with Dimitra, has also explored bringing agricultural assets onchain.
It's about to get interesting....
Now, let’s talk luxury assets.
Wristwatches, luxury bags, collectibles… all entering the space.
Projects like
@watchfyio are making it possible to own fractions of high-end watches like Rolexes.
Here’s how it works:
A luxury watch is sourced.
It is authenticated to confirm it’s genuine.
It is then insured, with documentation available for verification.
After that, tokens are issued onchain to represent fractional ownership.
Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a Rolex, users can just buy fractions of it through tokens.
Girlies, imagine owning a fraction of a Hermès Birkin instead of saving up $20k–$50k for the whole bag
That’s the kind of accessibility RWA is trying to unlock.
Luxury bags are also entering the space through
@lympid_io.

Government bonds and Treasury Bills are examples of intangible assets and they can also be tokenized.
But first…
What exactly is a Treasury Bill?
A Treasury Bill is basically a short-term way the government borrows money from people. You give the government money today, and they return it after a short time with a little extra profit.
Instead of going through traditional channels, these instruments can now exist onchain.
One of the biggest players in this category is
@OndoFinance.
Company shares can also be tokenized.
Just like traditional stock markets, tokenized shares allow ownership to exist onchain.
Projects like
@aktionariat have already helped dozens of companies tokenize their equity.⬇️
