The Governor's proposed 39 foot wide, 45 mile long Delta Tunnel #megaproject would be yet another water grab on a massive scale - this time from the Sacramento River.

ALT An engineer with cigar took the entire Owens River by diverting it into a large tunnel and the Owen's Valley and the river were destroyed. Never ending water theft. William Mulholland said: "there it is, take it" when the water arrived via tunnel to the suburban residents.

He could care less about the people he is supposed to represent. He is literally taking away any available safe guard that any other project would have to go through - expensive and creates NO NEW WATER ! #Tunnel

Looks like @CAgovernor wants to change a bunch of laws to ram through this terrible project. So much for the collaborative and comprehensive process promised in 2019. Sheesh!

Interesting timing to launch the portal at the same time as the @CAgovernor attempts to jam through trailer bills to remove or weaken environmental requirements applicable to the tunnel.

DWR has launched a #DeltaConveyanceProject permit portal website to house info & resources related to environmental compliance & permitting processes that must be completed prior to construction & operation of the proposed project, if approved by DWR after the completion of CEQA.
