ibuprofen will fuck up your body over time. pain meds are very easy to get addicted to. I think it’s good that there are some safety measures in place to protect you from overconsumption.

Having to go into a pharmacy to buy a very small expensive thing of Advil in Italy from BEHIND THE COUNTER when I can go to Sam’s here and buy practically a giant bucket of it for nearly the same price is what puts it into perspective for me.

American goes into Italian pharmacy and specifically asks for a US *brand* of Ibuprofen. Not the local brand, which is exactly the same and would cost a fraction, but their preferred label.

As it happens, my sex ed teacher DID talk about blue balls. Made sure to tell us that it's not as big a deal as men say it is and not to let them talk us into things we didn't want to do because of it :)
