In Gujarat, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji laid the foundation stone for 2️⃣ key 4️⃣-laning packages of NH-56, covering a total length of 107.67 km, with an investment of ₹4,583 crore. The project involves upgrading the corridors into modern four-lane National Highways with paved shoulders, enhancing safety, travel efficiency, and connectivity across the districts of Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, and Tapi. By strengthening connectivity between tribal and rural regions and major urban and industrial centres, the corridor is expected to boost tourism to prominent destinations such as the Statue of Unity, Sardar Sarovar Dam, Jambughoda, and Shoolpaneshwar sanctuaries.
