On April 10, 2026, the expanded ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme’s Country Working Group (CWG) advanced the development of a Roadmap for a National Critical Minerals Strategy.
This high-level stakeholders’ dialogue explored governance, responsible investment for sustainable DVPT, & regional opportunities.
It brought together key actors across sectors, including the Ministry of Mines🇨🇲, other GVT institutions, private sector actors, DVPT partners, UNDP, the EU Delegation 🇨🇲, & technical experts. including representatives from #AMDC & the Uganda Chamber of Mines.
Through the #ACPEUDevelopmentMineralsProgramme, @UNDP is empowering youth in Uganda with skills in business development, employability, value addition, and innovation - building sustainable careers across the mining value chain.
The youth engagements, held in August and September 2025, are part of ongoing efforts to support inclusive growth in Uganda’s mining sector.
