The main reason the barrier is and will be supported because your colleagues aid and abet corruption. Advocates are the conduits through which taxes are siphoned out of state corporations & Devolved Units. The co-thieves & Receivers of stolen money then go tooth on steel to deny investigators access to their bank accounts. Crimes can't and shouldn't be protected by any authority. Courts must be free to issue warrants to obtain access to bank accounts used to siphon humongous sums of cash in alleged fees which strangely ends up on the accounts of county staff including governors. Why should the governor's private advocate end up working for the county government he heads? It's all stinking to high heaven. It is indefensible.
The Court of Appeal has made a ruling that uphold's the High Court's decision that restricts government and state corporations from engaging private law firms, raising significant concerns about the future of our profession. As the number of practitioners grows, the available opportunities seem to be shrinking. During my campaign for LSK President, I prioritized this issue, but it was met with differing opinions. The profile and prestige of our profession continue to decline. Itโ€™s crucial to reflect on the actions of the current LSK Council. What have they accomplished? Have we taken steps to advocate for our profession in the Court of Appeal? If so, did we employ strong negotiation tactics to secure a ruling that safeguards our collective interests? There are serious challenges ahead.

A brief history of "collapse 'theory'": 1. Lord Delamare claimed that if he alone took his thousands out of the territory of East Africa, it would collapse. Big lie! If he left, he'd return to the poor peer status 2. At the start, during and the end of Maumau rebellion, white settlers constantly threatened to "collapse" Kenya by leaving enmasse. They failed to do so at independence meaning it was always a lie! 3. The Coolies & their descendants have never stopped making similar threats. Whenever their monopoly of whosale trade licences was threatened, they'd go to Njonjo to issue threats which Their Rag "๐™๐™๐™š ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ž๐™ก๐™ฎ ๐™‰๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ" published with apocalyptic headlines ... they screamed when forced to choose to be citizens of Kenya, UK or India. To this day, they peddle the lie that "Asians were thrown out of Kenya," as if a black Kenyan can live in India without papers 4. Somalis: There are people in Kenya who should not be publicising their history. Those of us who know and have the kalatasi have chosen to veer over the matter. Kenya Somalis were highly preferred as police by the British colonial government in Kenya. The British used ethnic Somalis extensively in the Northern Frontier District (NFD) and to quell unrest elsewhere, as they were often viewed as a "๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ž" and with a ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ž๐ซ๐œ๐ž ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฒ. There is a historical reason why Kenyatta found the slightest hobnobbing with NFD politicians a costly political endeavour: their collaboration with Beberu was bloody. In case one seeks political correctness, my advice: research first! Oh yes, they too believe they are the blood rushing oxygen throughout the body of Kenya!
โ€œIf Somalis decided to pull their resources out of Kenya, it will collapse in a dayโ€..This is part of a statement by @AlinurMohamed_ By all means, pull your resources out of Kenya, let it collapse!! We will rebuild from scratch. Every time a conversation on how Eastleigh business are taxed arises, you see such statements. We wonโ€™t cave. Watu walipe tax!!

William Ruto left Norway ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ก๐š๐ง๐๐ž๐. He tried to peddle Shimoni Port but not a mobile phone license or investment in oil! I recall the celebrated Raphael Tuju arrogantly turning down Telenor for reasons you all know. Ruto follows it up with offering Shimoni not Lamu

Taxing profits: All oil companies operating in Norwayโ€”regardless of who owns their stockโ€”are subject to a special petroleum tax rate of 78% on their net profits. Under Ruto, foreigners practically walk out with all the loot minus kickbacks to him.

South Africa please let the Malawian people go. Have they not been punished enough? They are women and children stranded begging to leave but South Africa is imposing further bureaucratic obstacles to their evacuation.

Israel flattened Beirut in 1982. No Hamas. No Hezbollah. No October 7 to point to then. Just 17,000 dead Lebanese and Palestinian civilians. Even US president then Ronald Reagan, who armed Israel, called Begin furious after seeing a photo of a 7-month-old baby with its arms blown off and said โ€œIt is a holocaustโ€. They killed so many innocent people that the survivors had no choice but to pick up weapons. Then Israel had the audacity to keep using โ€œSelf-Defenseโ€ excuse every decade. Israel didnโ€™t stumble into endless war. Israel built it. Brick by brick. Own it.

Madness in Kakamega today: police tear-gassed a busload of Friends School Binyenya kids returning from a music festival in Mumias โ€” mistaken for United Opposition rally supporters. This is what happens when our police are weaponized for politics instead of protecting citizens. Sad.

Kenya Kwanza's economic model has become a case study in how not to manage a developing economy. The government borrows heavily, taxes aggressively, and then borrows even more to service the debt it has accumulated. Businesses face expensive credit, households face rising taxes, and workers face a shrinking cost-of-living cushion. Instead of stimulating production, investment, and job creation, the current model extracts resources from citizens to sustain an ever-expanding debt burden and an increasingly costly government. An economy cannot tax its way to prosperity
