"Plan in decades. Think in years. Work in months. Live in days." -Nicholas Haralambous (@nicharry)
So @veefriends is 151 days old .. I have a forever strategy .. fair to say it’s early.. the same is going on for dozens of projects .. the speed of information and the β€œfast mentality” is causing for opportunities and vulnerabilities .. give it some thought.. too much daily …

Being successful is realizing that if you've got time to exercise, people who love you to come home to, and a book on your nightstand, you've got it all.

Underrated life advice: Make yourself easy to root for. Be kind. Be reliable. Celebrate other people’s wins. Work hard without complaining. Carry good energy into rooms. You'll be shocked by how many doors open for you by making life better for others.

I went on a quick trip to Japan, and I'm convinced we've been thinking about fitness completely wrong. Japan's obesity rate is 6%. America's is 43%. It's not a gap, it's a completely different way of living and it has nothing to do with the gym. Here's what I actually saw: 1. They walk everywhere. Not for exercise. For life. Train station to office. Office to lunch. Lunch back to the office. My phone tracked 15,000 steps on a day I didn't "work out" once. In the US, people drive to a gym to walk on a treadmill. Then drive home. 2,000 steps total outside the gym. 2. Their food is real. I ate out every single meal for two weeks. Fish. Rice. Vegetables. Fermented sides. Small portions on small plates. No 74 ingredient label on a bag of bread. No "healthy" granola bars with more sugar than a candy bar. 3. Being lean is the cultural standard. In Japan, if you're gaining weight, someone will tell you. Your coworker. Your mother. Your doctor. It's not considered rude. It's considered caring. They also teach healthy eating in grade school as a compulsory course. In the West, we've made it uncomfortable to even talk about weight. So nobody says anything until it's a medical emergency. This does not even mention the damage body positivity has done. The pattern across every lean country on this list is the same: Movement is built into daily life. Food is simple and unprocessed. The culture doesn't normalize being overweight. And if you can't move to Tokyo, you can build your own version: - Walk more than you drive. - Eat food without a barcode. - Surround yourself with people who take health seriously. Your ZIP code doesn't have to be your destiny. You can create Japan where you're at with the right habits.

1. Train before excuses start. Statham trains early. His rule: "Get out of bed and just do it. That way you'll never find an excuse not to." The day's energy ledger is set before email, traffic, and phone calls touch you.

The fittest people I know have a high tolerance for boring consistency. They do the same workouts, eat similar meals, stick to a sleep routine, and do their cardio. While everyone else is chasing shiny objects, they're getting better at the boring basics.

Kids with an active dad are 3.5x more likely to be active themselves. With both parents active, that goes up to nearly 6x. Your habits have a bigger impact on your family than you think.

"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride." -Anthony Bourdain

Let’s talk about radical honesty. Think about how many companies announce someone’s departure by saying they’re β€œleaving to spend more time with family” or β€œpursuing other opportunities.” Everyone in that room knows it’s not true. You’ve just stood up in front of your team and lied to them. And somewhere in the back of their heads, they’ve filed that away. Next time they see a problem, they’ll think twice before saying so.

Good question. For starters, thankfully not everyone is. Some us sirvuved just fine, lil scuffed for sure, but with stavles to deploy. That’s key cause we put the bottom/reversal in, but it’s nothing, litterally, in the grand scheme of things. The fun really starts when the mainstream articles come rolling in and maybe those ugly monkes at 50k ain’t not that dead no more. Or punks get over 100k again or Beeple sets a new record or a full 6529 set gets auctioned at Christie’s ( the horror ) for a milli. These are all very realistic targets for this year if all goes half decent btw, in my humble opinion. That’s when things kick into high gear. And we level up, and start to see people really pile in. Some funds will allocate to β€œthe future of digital art” on the back of a blowoff top in equities, as usual. Some celebs. More mainstream media coverage and fomo kicks in. Pokemon and TCG’s and Mangas getting pilled by all these gacha/tcg on crypto rails will eventually spillover too. The counterfeit game and oversupply will be very obvious when the bubble pops, not now in euphoria. This will showcase the power of non fungible provably scarce unconterfaitable art. Even if you realistically convert like 5% of that target demographic and volume, the numbers are INSANE. There’s like 100k digital collectibles with ANY value, if that. And dunno, 5k art pieces? It’s NOTHING. Also, this is the second NFT cycle starting now. The OG that survived, that’s a different era and will forver be. 5 years is a longass time. What we have left here, with relevance, is you first edition Pokemons, your Alpha MTG’s. So this time, if you survived, you just need to really feel where you stand in the cycle, and make sure to skim some off when Aoki and Paris Hilton and all the web3 grifters return this time, and people grind whitelists for a living again. So this time you’ll have enough to rebuy the bottom of this second bubble, and prepare for round 3 in 3030.
