Bullhooks, steel-tipped weapons used to control elephants through pain & fear, are BANNED in many jurisdictions, & nearly every major circus has retired elephant acts. Elephants deserve dignity—they are the GOP’s own proud symbol. This should have never happened @TexasGOP.

BREAKING NEWS: Sen. Marshall (KS) — the former Senate sponsor of the "Save Our Bacon" Act — has had a change of heart. This is the most significant moment yet in the campaign to stop SOB. Credit where it's due: it takes integrity to evolve on an issue. Kansas farmers and animals are better for it. The momentum against SOB continues to grow.
The pork industry lost with voters. Lost at the Supreme Court. So they turned to Congress—and got the "Save Our Bacon" Act buried in the House Farm Bill. It's the biggest rollback of animal welfare protections in U.S. history. A thread. 🧵

Another carriage horse has died in New York City. End this barbaric bullshit. If that means we no longer have an industry of animal abusers who cart fat tourists around Central Park, so be it. End it.

NEW YORK STATE RESIDENTS ONLY! We have only 8 days left in the 2026 legislative session. They better not. We will have eyes on @ChuckGrassley and @SenJoniErnst
Great news: the Senate farm bill base text won't include the Save Our Bacon Act, which would wipe out state bans on pork from crated pigs. Senate Ag Chair John Boozman said it's too controversial to include. That's thanks to everyone who called and posted about this. But the fight's not over. Iowa's Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst will likely now try to add the SOB Act to the bill as a committee amendment. Keep the calls to your senators going: (202) 224-3121. Tell them: no farm bill with the Save Our Bacon Act in it. We can win this. Photo credit: WeAnimals.

The Trump administration has lifted the ban on cyanide bombs that kill animals. This action, carried out discreetly and quietly, was outrageous to those of us who know what this diabolical device does to animals. humaneaction.org/blog/2026/0…

You asked me to look into Marshall Farms in Wayne County, NY so I went there myself. The moment we started recording, security showed up to keep a watchful eye on us. Ridgland Farms was just the beginning. We won't stop until all dogs and cats are protected from invasive animal testing.

All New York State politicians of any party: shut down the Marshall labs facility in North Rose, NY, where hundreds and thousands of beagles are being tortured and killed. First #Ridglan and now #Marshall #AnimalCruelty Save the dogs. RT
I have a soft spot for Beagles. Grew up with them. They are gentle souls who can’t speak for themselves, so we must. The cruelty alleged at Ridgland Farms is unacceptable. We have better, humane science. I’m fighting to end animal testing and defund abuse of Dogs and Cats. Save these dogs NOW.

China owns the big pork industry here in the United States. China also owns way too much land here in the United States. And guess what, they own our Republican politicians too. Hence, the “save our bacon act” pushed by @RepAshleyHinson It’s not about saving “bacon” it’s about allowing Chinese companies to smash pigs in gestational crates so they can save a few pennies.

Brutality toward pigs unites left and right.
The Farm Bill CANNOT include the so-called “Save Our Bacon Act” which is nothing but a gift to foreign owned corporate farms that torture pigs to squeeze a few extra cents out of their margins. NO! @Lewis_Bollard

Colorado just became the 9th state to ban the sale of puppies in pet stores! 🎉 This cuts off a major pipeline to cruel puppy mills and helps shift demand toward shelters and rescues. A big win for dogs—and for everyone who spoke up for them!

Unfortunately Tomi @TomiLahren, you and many others were fooled. For a year I have been blowing the whistle with White Coat Waste @WhiteCoatWaste on the National Institutes of Health’s @NIH continued funding of beagle tests with our taxpayer money. RFK Jr @SecKennedy was lied to by NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya @DrJBhattacharya and Fauci fan girl and PETA's favorite liberal, Obama holdover Nicole Kleinstreuer, and sadly everyone ate it up with a spoon. @PETA even sent NIH flowers when they knew NIH was still funding beagle and kitten torture. Nicole and Jay said beagle torture predated them and that they ended it. Turns out, it was all a big lie.
I would sure like to know why the actual F we’ve been told that this was ending, but it’s not actually ending, it’s just being disguised. We need answers from @SecRollins who is either complicit or asleep at the wheel. Unacceptable. If any of these folks think this is going away or that we will drop it, they are sadly mistaken.

President Trump's proposed budget sets the stage for the killing of tens of thousands of wild horses and burros or selling them to “kill buyers” for slaughter. Congress stopped this last year, and we are urging lawmakers once again to protect these amazing animals. humaneaction.org/blog/2026/0…

🦆 Governor Kathy Hochul and NYS Attorney General Tish James have once again betrayed New York’s animals — and every New Yorker who fought to protect them. Hochul is appealing the Appellate Division’s recent unanimous ruling to enforce New York City’s foie gras sales ban, throwing her weight behind an industry that tortures birds for profit. She is intentionally delaying implementation of NYC’s foie gras sales ban by months, or even years. Force-feeding animals until their organs fail. That’s what she’s defending. That’s what she’s decided is worth spending her political power and tax-payer money on. It’s a disgrace. The New York City Council, VFAR, and 50 organizations fought hard for this ban. Voters overwhelmingly support it. The courts upheld it. And now the Governor is trying to rip it away because she is beholden to foie gras producers at two factory farms in the state. Governor Hochul: Every animal lover, every activist, every person who believes in basic decency — we are watching you. See you in court, @GovKathyHochul @NewYorkStateAG . Duck yeah. 🦆
