.@USDA has NEVER had access to State SNAP data. Not until this Administration demanded it. That’s why every figure from years past is meaningless. From the 29 states that DID share data, we’ve already identified at least $3 billion a year in fraud. Extrapolated nationwide: more than $10 billion. This isn’t “erroneous payments.” This is FRAUD — and yes, @RepAngieCraig, I know the difference. Do you?

No more activist lawfare and bureaucratic delays locking up allotments. Ranchers are the solution, NOT the problem. Today at @OfficialRFDTV’s Rural Town Hall with the @WestCaucusFound, I issued a clear directive to all @forestservice employees: line officers must immediately implement the Advancing Grazing on Forest Service and BLM Lands MOU and our @USDA@Interior Grazing Action Plan. This directive prioritizes: • Expanding access by permitting vacant and closed allotments • Maximizing grazing flexibilities to keep working lands working • Eliminating delays through streamlined permitting • Giving ranchers a stronger voice and better engagement With @SecretaryBurgum’s partnership, we are returning our National Forests and Grasslands to their roots as working lands that sustain our ranchers and rural communities. Driving REAL results so American agriculture thrives for the next 250 years. More work to do — but real progress.

On the ground in South Texas at Chaparrosa Ranch — just miles from where the first New World Screwworm case was found. We rode the pastures, checked the cattle, and looked for anything out of the ordinary. The good news? That first calf is now completely healthy and back to normal 9 days later. This is the fight ahead of us — but we are ready. Equipped. And standing shoulder to shoulder with incredible cattlemen and cowboys like JR Ramirez who do this work every single day. If you see something, report it immediately. That’s how we get @USDA and @TAHC resources to you fast — and how we stay ahead of this threat.

.@SecRollins on efforts to combat and eradicate the New World Screwworm: We have moved the testing from Iowa to our brand new facility in Texas. The upcoming Edinburg, TX facility will give us about 300-400M sterile flies. We opened a new dispersal facility that allows us to better disperse the flies that are currently being born in Panama.

South Texas ranchers don’t fight New World Screwworm from behind a desk. In La Pryor, Texas, I just rode horseback through Chaparrosa Ranch with general manager JR Ramirez and other ranchers on the front lines of this battle. We discussed livestock protection, our aggressive preparedness efforts, and @USDA’s ongoing response to keep American herds safe. We’re staying vigilant and moving fast — because protecting our ranchers and our food supply is a Day 1 priority. Thank you to the hardworking producers leading the charge.

Here in La Pryor, Texas at Rock Creek Ranch. Joined by new Senior Advisor for New World Screwworm Preparedness John Bellinger and Southern Texas rancher Robbie, who spotted the first case and notified authorities immediately. Robbie and his family at Rock Creek Ranch are the true stars today — their vigilance made all the difference. We're looking at Case One right now: the calf is doing great and fully recovered after about nine days. Ranchers, keep your eyes on the cattle and report any cases right away. We've beaten this before, and with new tools and facilities coming online, we'll beat it again. @Screwworm_RR

Secretary Rollins welcomes President Donald J. Trump’s appointment of @johnrich as Special Envoy for American Landowners.   As Special Envoy, Rich will serve as a strong advocate for America’s farmers, ranchers, and private landowners, helping ensure their rights are protected and their voices are heard in Washington. He will work closely with USDA and stakeholders across the country to defend private property rights and address growing concerns from landowners facing pressure related to large-scale solar and wind development that impact productive farmland and rural communities.   America’s farmers and ranchers deserve a government that stands with them. USDA looks forward to working alongside John as we continue advancing President Trump’s commitment to protecting rural America and preserving our nation’s agricultural heritage. 🔗usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

LIVE from the Senate Ag Hearing: @SecRollins on the New World Screwworm fight. A year and a half ago: just 10 APHIS employees working full-time on this threat. Today: over 120. That’s a 1,000% increase in just 14 months. We’re prioritizing the big threats and scaling up fast to protect American agriculture.

We’re fighting the New World Screwworm threat. We pushed NWS out of the US in 1966 — but for the first time in the modern area we have cases in Texas again. This is a direct result of the Darien Gap being breached in 2022 thanks to the reckless open border policies of Biden-Harris that allowed it to SURGE through Central America and hit Mexico by 2024. But we were ready. Since Day 1 under @POTUS: - $1.3 billion deployed to fight NWS - New sterile fly technologies - Moore Air Base production facility ($750M) underway in Texas - New dispersal sites operational - Metapa, Mexico facility opening this month — adding 100 million sterile flies Increased border surveillance, trapping, and targeted releases already in effect. Farm Security = National Security. We WILL eradicate this threat.

For 250 years, American agriculture has helped secure our nation's freedom. Now, @POTUS is fighting for the American farmer: ✅ 19 new trade deals and frameworks secured ✅ Ag trade deficit reduced by over half and we expect another 30% this year ✅ Tens of billions in direct farmer relief delivered ✅ Reference prices increased for the first time in over a decade ✅ Death tax relief for 2 million family farms ✅ Over 900 SNAP fraud arrests and $132 million in restitution ✅ Historic investments to stop New World Screwworm ✅ Aggressive action to lower fertilizer and input costs American agriculture is back on offense. There is much more work to do, but I can promise America's farmers, ranchers, and producers this: this Administration will fight for you every day, every hour, and every second.

This morning, I joined leaders from across the fresh produce industry at the @IntFreshProduce Conference here in Washington, D.C. I shared how the Trump administration is putting farmers first by expanding export opportunities, supporting specialty crop growers, reducing burdensome regulations, and continuing our work to Make America Healthy Again through real, nutritious food grown by American producers.🍎🍍🫐 These producers are essential to our economy and our food security!

Farm security is national security! 🇺🇸 As @POTUS has made clear, America must never be dependent on foreign nations for the inputs that feed our country. For too long, we offshored critical manufacturing—including key agricultural inputs like fertilizer. That is why we are investing billions to onshore fertilizer production back to the United States. I’ll soon be in Louisiana breaking ground on what will be the largest ammonia and fertilizer facility in the world, alongside more than 90 other projects already underway. This is about strength, security, and independence—we cannot rely on foreign inputs to feed our nation.
