Exciting day with the @DirectSeeding guys turning up with a disc machine for Yr1 of a 3yr paddock demo. Pdk was grazed and brown manured field peas last year and was a bit pugged up, so 1t gypsum and then speedtilled to break it up and chop residue to make a fair fight @GroupMIG

Great couple of days here in Toowoomba. Very different weather compared to Agfest down in Tasmania a few weeks ago.
Well worth the trip and we will be back next year for sure

Proud day today having my gun apprentice recognised for excellence in the Australia Day Vocational Awards in Mount Barker presented by the Rotary Club. Not even 12 months into her first year and she’s already in charge of the laser cutter and doing her own engineering drawings then fabricating her own designs. The Chris Judd of apprentices.

It’s been a somber end to the year. Losing three good farmers in less than three weeks. Absolutely devastating for the families and communities that surround these great men. For those still harvesting I wish you a safe and incident free finish and to all have a safe and relaxing festive season.

After 14 years of putting up with the pain I am finally off to get my hips replaced. Going to be a long few months in recovery but fortunately my team have stepped up and will have everything under control back at the shed. Looking forward to no longer walking with a limp!
