ALT Today, the President held a press conference with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and other members of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) leadership. During the press conference, speakers shared harmful, false information about autism, acetaminophen, and vaccines. An HHS that does not provide accurate information to the President and make safe, science-informed decisions puts us all at grave risk. ASAN will release a full statement about this in the coming days. Today and always: autistic people belong.

ALT A Black person, a white person, and three Asian people pose together smiling at the camera. They are all wearing REV UP t-shirts. Above them is the title “Every Election Your Vote Matters.” Below their photo is a text box that reads: Local politics shape our lives: state officials decide how Medicaid and Medicare work; city councils and city officials make decisions around transportation, housing, parks, policing and more; School boards decide program funding and education policies.” A banner at the bottom reads: Disability Voting Rights Week, aapd.com/disability-voting-rights-week.

Rebecca is a professional lobbyist that had a disability bill coming up for a vote today in New York, and Republicans in her state unfortunately wanted to debate it - which means she can't be with us today to teach us how to make these things happen in our home cities and states.
Join Disability Victory Board Member @RebeccaLamorte this Thursday to learn all about how you can use lobbying to advance disability advocacy!

ALT A purple and light blue graphic reads: Disability Victory Co-Founder & Vice President Neal Carter for American Bar Association’s Disability Activist Spotlight Series: “We at Disability Victory believe that a disabled, progressive candidate's job is not to convince a voter that their disability will not prevent them from being an effective leader, but instead to convince a voter that they are the best option to represent them at any level of government.”
In his profile, Neal shares why he co-created Disability Victory, his perspectives on disabled leadership, and how Disability Victory works to support disabled progressive leaders and educate our partners on campaign accessibility and disability inclusion. 2/2

NEW: Today, Disability Victory is releasing the results of its 2025 Disabled Progressive Priorities Survey. Disabled progressives are ready to mobilize and fight for their communities in 2025--learn how at disabilityvictory.org/news/2…#CripTheVote
ALT New from Disability Victory: Findings from the 2025 Disabled Progressive Priorities Survey
www.disabilityvictory.org/news/2025-survey
ALT Key Findings:
In 2025, disabled leaders have mixed feelings about getting involved in electoral politics
Of those who are open to the idea of electoral politics, the majority are interested in working on campaigns in 2025.
Of those interested in running for office, they are most interested in running for local or state office.
Disabled progressives who want to mobilize through electoral politics have questions about accessing accommodations on the campaign trail, and they’re concerned about ableism.
ALT Key findings:
While electoral politics may not be the highest priority in 2025, disabled progressives are ready to mobilize through other forms of leadership, such as:
Policy and issue-based advocacy
Activism and direct action
Digital organizing
Mutual aid organizing
Disabled progressives know that every policy issue is a disability issue. Respondents’ priorities for 2025 are:
Affordable and accessible housing
Disability rights law
Health care access
Social Security and Medicaid
Reproductive justice
