Speakers called for shared responsibility across governments, developers, and the public, stressing that accessible housing must be designed with disabled people involved from the outset so that social, sensory, and safety needs are integrated rather than retrofitted later. /2

I’ve stood with other communities when their rights were on the line. Now disabled Albertans need that same solidarity. Please like, comment, and share to help keep this visible. Will you stand with us? 🤔💚 #Alberta #AISH #ADAP

Big shout out to Easter Seals Canada! @EasterSeals We are proud partners in their Building an Accessible Canada | Bâtir un Canada accessible webinar that was to be held today in recognition of National AccessAbility Week. Unfortunately, due to unexpected technical difficulties, the event would not be fully inclusive, so the decision to reschedule the webinar was made. An unfortunate situation, but an easy decision to make, as if we are to be an inclusive country, that means inclusion for all. Well done Easter Seals! We look forward to being a part of the event, once rescheduled, and encourage all who previously registered to do so again, and to bring a friend!
