Let’s talk about David. David committed adultery. He then conspired to see the woman’s husband killed. He then took her as wife and had several children with her. Despite all of this God loved David. Why? David accepted his punishment. David’s life after was a tragedy as a result of his sin. His family saw death, illness, sexual deviancy, and murder from that day forward. His own som attempted to kill him. Yet he admitted “I have sinned against the Lord” and accepted everything that came his way. He didn’t make excuses, he didn’t defend himself. This is why David is with the Lord now, and the Throne Christ will sit on soon is called the throne of David. When you mess up, accept the consequences and hand the reigns to God.
