The crazy thing about the Pazzi Conspiracy in Assassin's Creed II is how little Ubisoft had to change. Especially the attempt on Medici's life which was already insane and brutal on its own: - It was a coordinated attack during mass - Giuliano de' Medici really was stabbed to death, historically around 19 times by Francesco de' Pazzi - Lorenzo de' Medici was wounded but survived and was saved by nearby allies - Even the hanging of de' Pazzi which was cleverly changed to be Ezio's doing Ezio and the Assassins vs Templars are of course the only parts that are made up, yet they fit so seamlessly into the insanity that they're hard to dismiss as a possibility. Ubisoft did a great job of weaving these reenactments into compelling stories within the game's universe. It was certainly one of their greatest strengths.
