I sometimes ask what timeline are we in. Then, it occurs to me that assessing intent and incentives is sometimes pretty clear.
Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has claimed “Russia is not the enemy of Britain” after he travelled to Moscow and met with Elon Musk’s father, Errol. Read more: independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho…

I don't believe this is a Costco in Texas, because OpenAI's own AI detector tool says it's an AI-generated image created with OpenAI.
Believe it or not, this is a Costco in Texas. Absolutely disgusting.
Community note
The photo is AI-generated, as shown by errors including a "Gostco" logo instead of Costco, fake brands like "Neers SpOrTy SpOrTe", malformed hands, and non-Costco carts. reddit.com/r/stupidpeople…

This week I want to talk about @HunterBiden . It kind of matters as how he approached it when he entered X two weeks ago is worth looking at. I know it is a bit late, so I’ll own that. substack.com/home/post/p-201…

Once, the assumption was that Kyiv would fall in under a week. Then Ukraine fought back. It did it with a ferocity that reminded the world they were not going anywhere. It must be so exhausting to sustain this for years now. I cannot imagine how it sits with the soldiers, the officers, the ordinary citizens who have carried it. For all the tactical, operational, and strategic lessons to be drawn from this war, the human remains at its centre. Slava Ukraini. #ukrainians #war

Shrinking the childhood vaccine schedule rested on one premise: pandemic-era distrust would ease if vaccines were made less mandatory. But now measles past 2,000 cases this year, the outbreak nearing its worst in decades. This is against a disease we had the tools to defeat. When policy borrows its critics' framing to "rebuild trust," ask who the framing serves. theguardian.com/us-news/2026…

In case you forgot what it looks like when a real president gets the love at a game. You know, when the crowd actually wants the president there.

The ISW is often used, incorrectly, in spreading lies. Note where it comes from, as ISW do outstanding work when its actually from them.
Reminder: You can easily verify the authenticity of videos purporting to be from ISW by visiting (and subscribing to) our YouTube account linked in the post below. ⬇️

This is the tough lesson that a lot of people are learning the hard way AI might have made building apps a lot easier, but it also set the barrier to entry at zero Because anyone can do it, there is no moat left The only edge left in the future will be sales and marketing

This is an oddly uncomfortable video to watch.
U.S. President Donald J. Trump got angry and stormed out of an interview last week with NBC News’ Meet the Press, as Kristen Welker pressed him on baseless claims that he and other administration officials have made in the past regarding the integrity of the 2020 Presidential Election, which Trump lost to Joe Biden. President Trump closed out the interview by stating: “Your elections are crooked and you’re crooked and Meet the Press is crooked and so is ABC and CBS and CNN. You’re one-sided crooked networks. So let's call it quits because I've had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time.”

Five Eyes agencies issued a joint bulletin last Thursday on a Chinese military intelligence campaign running across LinkedIn, Indeed, and Upwork. Your CV is now the targeting data. Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service claims the EU is pressuring Armenia to carry out ‘vicious religious persecutions’ as a condition for EU integration. This claim is false. It is a timeless Russian disinformation classic that gets recycled with every set of elections Russia seeks to disrupt and interfere in.

The gravest risk in November isn’t a hacked vote count. It’s a public that can’t agree on what’s real and the infrastructure built to prevent that is gone. This week leads with a forward assessment of the 2026 midterm threat environment, because the window to act is now, not after. Read now on: thedisinformationobserver.su…

The conversation around #AI lately has a specific sense of revolt. So did railways. So did the printing press. So did electricity. Every age-defining #technology triggered this cycle and the revolt was always loudest just before the crash, not after it. They tend to follow the same arc: Speculation → ridicule → mania → crash → then what survives becomes infrastructure. The question is what stands after this crash? And where are we now?
