One thing women got right is that every story is a love story even if it isn’t framed as one

when i feel worried about the future i tell myself that far uvc is advancing and gaining acceptance every day. it's one of my most used anxiety prophylactics, right up there with videos of puppies and researching new successes in cancer treatment

Don’t understand why ppl can’t see that the “make out every night” ritual/advice is designed to increase satisfaction for both the we-should-have-more-sex spouse and the we-should-share-more-physical-affection-without-sex spouse, and is likely pretty successful at both

The ritual wasn’t “make out and then definitely do not have sex” it was “make out regardless of whether you are gonna have sex or not”

Obviously there is gonna be some significant amount of times where that just leads to sex that wouldn’t have otherwise happened bc lol getting started matters

So uh in the last email we sent out I wrote Monday as the day sales close SO GUESS WHAT Sales for vibecamp now close on MONDAY JUNE 15TH instead of tonight. You have an extra day grace period bc I’m bad with numbers and dates. And directions but that’s not really relevant here

If anyone is curious about how Texas elections might go in November, the guy running against Shiria Law in an affluent Dallas suburb lost by 20 points.

We’ve got thousands of ethnographic accounts across hundreds of hunter-gatherer societies from all over the world over the last 5 centuries and there’s nothing you can do to get the vast majority of people who speculate about our ‘hunter-gatherer ancestors’ to read any of them.

The Trump admin continues to treat AI like a screwdriver that is also enriched uranium: That is, apparently advanced AI is such a normal technology that it’s crazy to limit chip exports to China but also such an abnormal technology that we can’t let British employees of NYC banks access it

Oh whoa, this Anthropic news is insane. The Commerce Department is placing both Mythos 5 and Fable 5 under the guise of US export controls, blocking access outside the US and foreign persons in the US.

IQ (and in turn gifted program) discourse would be much less annoying if people internalized that intelligence and virtue are not correlated.

This chap saying in the comments that this kind of spiritually dead wallowing in empty nostalgia is one of the "best use cases" of AI is the most damning thing I've ever seen someone say about AI. x.com/i/status/2064937419670…

It's rare that AI video makes me feel any emotion. But these "nostalgiamaxxing videos" really do capture what it's like to grow up in the 90's Credit: homeforchristmasofficial

I think the idea that women aren't really attracted to men is sort of a way of displacing all our potential vulnerabilities onto men- it can't be that attraction to/ desire for men can sometimes lead us into abusive relationships. It has to be that we were groomed and tricked.
Replying to @lillybilly299
I figure it's mostly because being attracted to men (for women) feels like a weakness that can be used against them. Convincing men that they can't attract women, is convincing them that they have less power in their relationships, and gives women a better negotiating position.

Paxton siding with the interests of Tech against the direct interests of Baylor, TCU, and UH and against the indirect interests of UT, A&M, and SMU is maybe not the wisest read of how to navigate Texas politics
