I'm a woman. I don't lose any rights by a trans woman being afforded rights. I am a woman, she is a woman. Collectively we deserve women's rights. Rights, like equality and freedoms, are for everyone, or no-one.

My beloved Da and I. He died in 2012 and on Father's day each year, I pay for a surgery so a child can see their father because I can't see mine anymore. RIP Da X ❀️ X Huge thanks to @OrbisIntl for the incredible work they do across the world, all year round.

Inspirational courage. To take a lived experience of intense discomfort due to stigma.....and choose to really live within that, to promote knowledge, reducing fear and improving the experience of so many others. Thank you @gareththomas14 Thomas. #RCNCongress24

Assisted Dying debate....so many demanding this conversation be shelved until we have excellent palliative care across the country first. As nurses, many of us know that even with excellent care, we can't relieve all symptoms 24/7. Deflection is unhelpful. #RCNCongress24

🚨 | NEW: Tory MP Sajid Javid has said an MP's £86k salary is an "issue" and should be doubled to attract talent in Parliament "If I had my way I would halve the number of MPs and double the salaries [...] you would get a much higher quality of Parliament." [@LizzyBuchan]

SO IMPORTANT. Not just about whether you personally want to go on strike: more about if you feel the pay suggestion is fair, liveable, appropriate to clinical education and responsibility. If you don't but can't envisage striking yourself, please vote yes so that others can
Ballot papers are on the way! Help decide what happens next. ONE VOICE. Even if you choose not to strike, vote YES to allow others the opportunity to do so. Return your ballot by 23rd June and say what YOU will do. Make it count. #FairPayForNursing #RCNStrike @RCNLondon

Just had a leisurely lunch at uni, still 90 minutes early for my osce and realising I've moved out of the mildly terrified zone into a kind of quasi fatalistic calm. Mildly amusing. Might get a coffee

I'm lucky to have been born here, in relative safety. I have rights and protections. I believe those who run to try and protect their families should be helped.
People who have escaped from the worst terrors in the world should not be risking their lives once again to claim asylum in the UK. Agree? Add your name now.
