Same battle, same armies, different outcome!
In my dice-based RTS, some units can attack many targets at once. Sending them into battle in the right order can turn a defeat into a victory.

Just finished an early draft of the main theme for my RTS with dice!
Here’s 40 seconds of core gameplay paired with the first musical idea. Still very early, but this is the vibe I’m aiming for.

ok, i touched optimization one last time, and made a good progress:
220 FPS with 1000 projectiles on screen
or up to 300 FPS when the framerate is unlocked, but then there will be spikes down to 180 FPS
not bad, i started with 30-40 FPS two weeks ago 🥳

loaded a previous version from before the optimization to compare.
30–40 fps under the same conditions.
so, yea, it was worth the effort for sure.
i should be happy i guess, but, like, idk, I was expecting more...
