I would like to thank everyone in the city of Chattanooga who have supported me throughout the years. But it's time for me to step down from congress. I've enjoyed the 13 years of service I've given back to the city. I trust in the remaining public officials to handle things.

My niece was stabbed last night, and I was in charge of taking care of her since I'm a doctor, and I was the doctor on the job at the time. Fortunately, she's going to live.
