Game #1: Flappy Llama This is my first time experimenting with Scene Graph, and I absolutely love it. I can just drop down as many Flappy Llama machines as I want, and each one works as its own fully independent arcade game. @FNCreate #UEFN #Verse @TimSweeneyEpic - 100% Verse UI built with Material Blocks and parameter control - Local sound effects play directly from each machine (idle SFX or gameplay triggers) - Dynamically updating leaderboard - Machine animates on player input so others see it in use (including the screen showing it’s occupied) I’m not great with materials, so huge shoutout to @ImBlanky for setting me up with a simple material that had the parameters I needed to make the game work (and for helping me figure out how to decorate my fun little machine). Game #2 will be shown soon, it just needs a few final touch-ups, but I love it just as much. (here's your hint 💣🧹)

Built this open-source tool to be able to build in UEFN using plain speech. "Color that chair red" "Make a circle of plants" etc. still plenty of work to do but it's been a lot of fun to work on. Huge thanks to @FNCreate for enabling the python integration, it's an absolute game changer. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else builds with it. Repo link ⬇️

I know I’ve been dragging a bit on getting these games out, but last night I finally submitted them to moderation to get it listed. Unfortunately, it got flagged because of the Wordle word list. With 14,600 words, I was obviously bound to miss a few. I removed the flagged words and resubmitted, only to get flagged again for additional ones. That alone was frustrating, why not just surface all the problematic words in the first rejection? I fixed those, submitted again, and then got flagged a third time, which resulted in the entire project being locked. I’m already in contact with Epic to get access restored to resolve the flags, but I just needed to vent about how ridiculous that process feels. Yes, part of the blame is on me for not catching every single non-TOS word despite my best effort. That said, breaking violations into multiple rejections, causing repeated strikes, and then locking the project because of it is incredibly frustrating. Thankfully, I backed everything up on a test island, so I still have all the machines and full access to the different games. Still, it looks like I won’t be able to list them publicly until Epic helps resolve the issue.
Game #3: Fortle I think this remake is my favorite so far. The animations are just perfect. They really make the game feel alive. I wish I could animate the text. All of these will be playable, I just don’t want to launch with only three games and have a total playtime of around ten minutes, which could hurt the game’s chances in Discover. Game #5: Slurpent This one nearly broke me, but it’s also the minigame I’m most proud of so far. I wanted to go way beyond the classic retro Snake look and fully animate everything, every segment, every turn, every tiny detail. Materials are not my strong suit, so getting this all working took a lot of trial and error. Sorry for the delayed post, but I’m really proud of how it turned out. - 100% Verse UI - The entire snake is driven by a grid of materials and their parameters (position, scale, rotation, straight segments, turn pieces with correct direction tail logic, tail ends, head types, color, bulge effect, body texture, etc.) And of course, this is still running on the same scene graph arcade machine I built playing local SFX, animating on player input, and fully modular so I can duplicate it instantly. Massive shoutout to @ImBlanky for helping me with where to start with the material. Game #4 Klombo Run This one was a simple build, but still super fun. I love the little Klombo. Was my first time doing a flipbook, so that was cool. And of course, all the usual stuff from the previous machines is still here: the wobbling machine, SFX, leaderboard, etc. - 100% Verse UI - Game speed ramps up as you play - Day/Night cycle every 1000pts - Battle Bus starts spawning at 400pts Game #5 is actually insane, I won’t lie. This one might be more basic, but trust me, next week is the complete opposite. Your hint: 🐍 @FNCreate #UEFN #Verse @TimSweeneyEpic

Game #2: Fortsweeper As promised, another scene graph arcade machine. Planning on posting a new game every week. @FNCreate #UEFN #Verse @TimSweeneyEpic Everything from the first machine still applies: - 100% Verse UI - Local SFXs - Dynamic leaderboards (three of them this time!) - Player-input animations visible to spectators Additionally: - It’s controller-friendly (I love SetFocus) - Features custom, dynamic board sizes. The collection is now growing. I actually play this one more than Flappy Llama since it’s more casual, but they’re both a blast. Game #3 is just about done. Equally as awesome. Hint: 🟩🟨 (also open to any recommendations 👀, I already have a list of games I plan to do, but always interested in expanding that list)

If I could wave a wand and do anything else it would be the fact I still have to use a UI button. My goal originally was just to use input trigger and then players on different consoles could tap, hit spacebar, click with their mouse, press A or X anywhere on the screen, etc. and not have to worry so much about hitting the jump button. But input trigger won’t send signals out with input_mode.All and I can’t use input_mode.None because their UI then will scale and it’s almost impossible to accommodate the game for everyone’s hud sizes. Was tempted to try the experimental input stuff but idk when that stuff will release and I don’t want to hold onto these games that long haha.

I understand some settings could potentially cause performances issues that were never intended to exist, but the good that being able to paste in values past the minimum and maximum restraints brought majorly outweighed the negatives. Why are these the bugs that are being prioritized? Who reported this? Who asked for this? This is NOT the kind of thing the community is complaining about, this was a workaround that was heavily utilized to allow for creators to create the experiences that we want to be able to make and not be restricted by such ridiculous limitations. @FNCreate absolutely should be reconsidered. So disappointing.
