Quite nice to managers departing clubs with plenty of goodwill this summer. Glasner, Iraola, Silva. All have done super solid jobs with the help of excellent recruitment. Be interesting how they fare at bigger clubs.

This is genuinely so embarrassing to the sport of cricket and the city of Manchester. An utter disgrace.

Everyone feared ‘annoying Arsenal fans’ throughout this title race but nobody has been more annoying than that City bottle fella.

Arsenal closing in on their first title in 22 years and everyone is talking about the Championship. What a country.

I voted for Bruno Fernandes. Well deserved. The best player doesn’t always play for the best team.

Chuffed that Bruno Fernandes has won the FWA player of the year award and even more chuffed that it’s pissed off so many Arsenal-leaning media outlets. #mufc

In each of his full 15 seasons as a manager, Dave Challinor has finished in a playoff spot or higher. Stockport's manager is gearing up for his 12th playoff campaign. My interview with him: theguardian.com/football/202…

A piece for my substack on why expectations around Manchester United post-2013 make it so difficult for managers, with Michael Carrick a likely future victim. open.substack.com/pub/nameon…

I’m not a fan of the celebration police but… those Arsenal celebrations last night were a tad OTT. You haven’t won it lads.

England cricket and rugby both doing the exact opposite of what ruthless elite sporting organisations do in 2026, blindly backing their man based on little (or poor) evidence. Odd behaviour.
England head coach Steve Borthwick and his assistants backed by the RFU to remain in post through to next year's Rugby World Cup.

Best Premier League season in at least a decade this. So unpredictable. Proper title race. Proper relegation scrap. Race for Europe good too.

This guy embodies what it means to be Manchester United. To think the club were so close to losing him. Great player, great guy #mufc

Arsenal can feel very hard done by with that non penalty decision. 9 times out of 10 that’s given with no questions asked.

I actually don’t think Casemiro played that well, his goal and a couple of shithousery moments aside. Had to make big sliding tackles because he was often out of position. Looked shattered late on. #mufc
