Consumer Competition Claims (CCC), through GameClaim, has launched a new class action against Valve in the Netherlands.
The group claims Valve controls around 85% of the PC game market and uses rules that make it harder for developers to sell games cheaper on other stores.
It also argues that Steam’s 30% cut on game sales is too high and shows anti-competitive behaviour.
According to CCC, Dutch gamers have paid more than they should due to these practices, with total damages estimated at over €220 million since 2013..
The group says it will first try to reach a settlement with Valve. If that fails, the case could go to court and may take several years to resolve.

Newly revealed court documents from an ongoing antitrust lawsuit claim that Valve once threatened to remove Rainbow Six Siege from Steam after Ubisoft tried selling the game at a lower price on its own storefront, Uplay.
According to the reports, Ubisoft introduced a cheaper “Starter Pack” version of Rainbow Six Siege outside of Steam.
Valve allegedly warned Ubisoft that the game could be removed from Steam if the pricing difference wasn’t addressed. Ubisoft changed course, and the game remained on the platform.

If a store with dominant market share taking a 30% cut can bully developers into not passing on savings to customers on competing stores with lower fees, then competition doesn't stand a chance.

Everyone’s being too harsh here. There has been a significant rise in the cost of components that Steam customer spending ultimately funds, and economic trends have created severe disruptions in the component parts supply chain for megayachts.

He is clearly mocking the management decision of Valve about the price increase of the Steam Deck to gain engagement, while Epic Games under his leadership has faced repeated mismanagements, major layoffs of almost 830 staff in 2023 and over 1000 more in March 2026.

I don't see a reason why Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced wouldn't include blood.
This was likely turned off in the settings, it wouldn't make sense for Ubisoft to have this feature turned off especially right after the most brutal AC game they've ever made that was Shadows

I think people have this weird perception that steam sets the price of the sales on their platform.
It's the publishers. And those exact same sales are typically running on other PC launchers at the same time. Steam propaganda.
