Jacquelyn Love was a force for good in Deptford for generations. It saddened me to hear of her passing and Iโm thinking of her family.
She paved the way for others as a black, female deputy mayor in the 80s, and long remained a champion for civil rights, faith, the disabled, and many more throughout her life. Her son Wayne's leadership on the Deptford council is a testament to how she inspired others to serve, too.
Rest in peace, Jacquelyn.
