Dawnay has dawned! Delighted that my latest book—The Military Papers & Correspondence of Major General Guy Dawnay, 1915-1919—has been published. I started this project back in 2018 (struggling thru the pandemic years), so it's great to see Dawnay between covers. Relieved & proud.

Hey. My book Making Makers is now available as an audiobook, and at a very reasonable price. What could be better than *listening* to a book about books and the people who made them? Get it thru audible and other platforms! audible.com.au/pd/Making-Mak…

Really excited to be on my way to The Hague to work alongside Dutch colleagues on their history of Task Force Uruzgan. Collaborating on the history will help both nations better understand our shared experience of the war in Afghanistan.

So sad that it's my last day in Canberra! 😖 Another fantastic experience lecturing and teaching on learning, innovation, and adaptation to @acsc_j out at @ADC_Australia. Wonderful to work with such a talented group of students and, of course, to catch up with old friends 🙌🏻

If it's on Publishers Marketplace it must be true! Very excited to announce the details of my first trade book, a global history of Italian emigration from Marco Polo to today. Thanks to my amazing agent @APowerAgent for making it happen! Now I just have to write the thing! 😅

Always glad to have a review of the Armies in Retreat chapter I penned some time ago. "at once enlightening and frustrating" might well be my epitaph, given how many times one must balance discussions of technical detail in analysis intended for operational & strategic audiences. I will however be grateful for sharing the honour with @DrAEFox of "most originally provocative and informative" chapters in the volume
