Dawnay has dawned! Delighted that my latest book—The Military Papers & Correspondence of Major General Guy Dawnay, 1915-1919—has been published. I started this project back in 2018 (struggling thru the pandemic years), so it's great to see Dawnay between covers. Relieved & proud.

Always glad to have a review of the Armies in Retreat chapter I penned some time ago. "at once enlightening and frustrating" might well be my epitaph, given how many times one must balance discussions of technical detail in analysis intended for operational & strategic audiences. I will however be grateful for sharing the honour with @DrAEFox of "most originally provocative and informative" chapters in the volume
