This @barrydistrict story is an embarrassment to journalism.
Readers are told a "woman" masturbated in front of nurses. They are then told the prosecutor said:
"The defendant put her hands down her leggings to the groin area. Staff could see that she had her penis in her hand and that her hand was moving up and down."
"Her penis."
To be fair to the reporter, he is accurately reporting what was said in court.
But that means the pronouns change from female to male halfway through the story.
And journalism is supposed to help readers understand what happened by reporting material facts clearly and accurately.
Not require them to perform mental gymnastics in order to make sense of the story.
This kind of reporting is confusing, absurd and frankly beneath the standards journalism should aspire to.
And it shows exactly what happens when gender ideology is allowed to dictate public life - including the legal system and the media.

A convicted paedophile has been jailed for attempting to incite a child into sexual activity.
Jessica Smith tried to communicate online with a 12-year-old 'girl' but didn't realise the child was really an undercover police officer.
The defendant also repeatedly breached the terms of a court order designed to protect the public, Exeter Crown Court was told.
Smith, from Newton Poppleford, has previous for almost identical offences. Back in 2021, the defendant arranged to meet a 14-year-old 'girl'but was caught lurking in bushes by paedophile hunters.

This is possibly the worst crime in modern history.
Two men "adopted" a baby.
"A post mortem examination identified more than 30 external bruises, as well as internal bruising to his mouth and throat, internal bruising to his anus, bowel and bladder, lacerations to his anorectum, and a perforated bowel."
"One medical expert gave evidence that a bruise on the baby’s bottom appeared to be a human bite mark."
Think what this poor baby went through. The men who did this should be put to death.
Men should not be able to buy babies. I know that this will cause some anguish to good men who have good intentions, but it's necessary to prevent this happening. This cannot happen again.

A gay couple, one a teacher and the other a salesman, who were allowed to adopt a baby boy were today convicted at Preston Crown court of the murder and mutiple sexual assaults of the 11-month-old- child. These vile human beings will, I trust, face their own lifetime of torture in jail.
