Inequalities influence who develops #cancer, when/if it's diagnosed, treatment, & chances of survival. They exist between & within countries. Whether someone survives cancer shouldn't depend on where they live! The EUCan-Ineq project is researching this. eu-canineq.iarc.who.int/

Today is #WorldObesityDay Did you know? 1 in 8 people worldwide are living with obesity — across every age, every background, every family. Obesity drives some of today's most serious health conditions: type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease. And it's rarely just about personal choices. Biology, environment, access - these shape our health. Healthier lives begin with healthier surroundings. Let's build environments where everyone has a real chance to thrive. Supportive and palliative care isn’t just end-of-life care. 🧡 It improves quality of life, manages symptoms, & supports people at any stage of cancer. 🌍 Without urgent action, health systems won’t meet the growing demand — and millions risk preventable suffering.

This is such a shame and so disappointing. The first job of a gov is to protect its citizens and the evidence couldn't be clearer. Alcohol causes cancer & the risk exists at all levels of consumption @AlcoholIreland @AlcoholChangeUK @AlcoholFocus
We're dismayed to hear the Irish government has delayed the introduction of alcohol warning labels until 2028. This will prevent the public from making informed choices about alcohol and the effect on their health and cancer risk 👇 alcoholireland.ie/press-rele… @AlcoholIreland
