This meta-analysis finds that exercise is likely to increase resting brain-derived neurotrophic factor concentration in older adults and the most effective interventions have a frequency of 3–4 sessions per week, at moderate to vigorous intensity and over at least 12 weeks.

On a run in Copenhagen this morning I stopped to admire just how many active people there were running and cycling to start their day. This scene below happened at every light.
