I am utterly touched and humbled to have received the honorary doctorate degree (Doctor of Laws, honoris causa), from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador at their convocation yesterday.
I am also speechless because the sentiment of profound gratitude, which is continuously twirling in the innermost layer of my heart, is beyond words.
I'm equally honoured that there are people and their organizations who recognize the power of physical movement, value of bringing people together through art, need of building cross-cultural bridges, and importance of messages of joy, hope, and positivity for healing and growing.
Lastly, I am delighted that the efforts to include the natural environment of the Yukon Territory, frozen/snowy landscapes of northern Canada, and frigid/subzero temperatures, which are usually backdrops/elements of my videos, also received deep appreciation.
Thanks,
@MemorialU, dear people of Newfoundland and Labrador, all Canadians, and the universe, for this pure love 🙏🏽❤️
