He’s always wrong. Always.
Slow eccentrics might be the most confidently wrong habit in the gym. Nearly all your growth comes from the way up. The muscle is strongest lowering the weight, so no tempo on earth loads it hard enough to grow you. Drag the negative out and all you add is fatigue, and lengthening under load is the most fatiguing thing you can do to a muscle. That fatigue then steals reps from the way up, the only half that counts. You finish more exhausted with fewer of the reps that grow you. Control it in two or three seconds, then drive up like you mean it.

Turns out we went too far with the neurotic notion "no amount of alcohol is safe." Up to 3 drinks/week failed to demonstrate a negative effect - per a new paper released last week.

It’s an utterly basic movement. It’s also largely pointless. It relies on huge amounts of lumbar flexion, which fitness dweebs usually panic about!
BBC journalists try to do the 'Asian squat', a resting position frequently used by people in places like China, Japan, and much of Asia. 🎧 Click for more on cultural traditions around the world bbc.in/4vNYZgP

Zarah’s spiritual monarch King Jeremy attended Castle House Prep School in Shropshire. Polanski also went private. Sultana’s hero Diane Abbott quietly sent her kid Private too. She defended the decision because of “risks to her son”. Entry-level student politics, even for Zarah.

Bold take when every poll and study shows young people to be, on average, avid consumers of brain rot and propaganda who are wrong about almost everything.
Gen Z is infinitely more informed than the Boomer generation. Denying them their main source of information is an attack on their freedom of thought and speech all based on the prejudice that kids are all naive idiots that waste time online. Its an ageist policy

Israel's brief detention of Sumud flotilla influencers led to international headlines and state condemnations. 3 weeks ago, ten members of the Sumud Land Convoy were captured & imprisoned in Libya while on their way to Gaza. They're still there. No headlines. Little outrage.

This is very odd and disconcerting. We do not usually withhold facts because the public would not like them, do we? Maybe we now do.
Labour has said they fear releasing data on the nationalities of people allocated social housing could lead to “disgusting” abuse on social media. newstalk.com/news/housing-5-…

Local government waste is utterly disgraceful. Needs to be a complete overhaul.
Due to increased scrutiny at Buckinghamshire council, we've uploaded all of their spending over 500, including their government procurement card spend. See 941,371 payments totalling over £5bn here ukgovscan.com/councils/E0600…

Laughably unsubstantial. I’ve never heard a remotely convincing argument for why people should be put up in the most expensive properties available.

Greens divide the world neatly into welfare recipients and billionaires, usefully eliding everyone in the middle who would be wrecked by their policies.
Burnham is the same old Blairite with the same old ideas. The billionaires will benefit and the rest of us will pay the price.

Dear @ZackPolanski Is it true that if you become PM, activists will be able to smash up factories, attack people with sledgehammers and break the spines of police officers - and your government would consider them heroes rather than put them in jail? Asking for a friend.

Utterly unhinged. How have we ended up with thousands of people suffering from this total loss of intellectual faculties?

Imagine the reaction if Nigel Farage or Rupert Lowe publicly complained about not being able to support a proscribed terror organisation.
The fact that your government has made it illegal for me to answer yes is a damning testament to your flagrant disregard for civil liberties. This may be targeted at those taking action against the genocide, but it sets a very dangerous precedent that puts everyone at risk.

Dear Zack Breaking a British police officers spine is not lawful protest... nor is it just holding up a sign... It's terrorism. And if there are people out there as stupid as you and willing to support terrorists they should he arrested. However old they are.
This Governments branding of protest as 'terrorism' has seen grandparents arrested and dragged through the courts simply for holding up signs. It's deeply authoritarian when people are speaking out against a genocide and for a free Palestine.

Why do people insist on making up stupid lifts? This is a good way to get hurt without training your abs effectively.
How does Thierry Henry make it look so effortless despite being 48 years old? 😭

When the The Palestinians Youth Movement descended upon a Jewish community in Edgware, London, they thought it would be a few old ladies telling them not to storm a synagogue because they didn’t like the event. What a surprise they got. This group is affiliated with the terror group, Popular Front for the liberation of Palestine PFLP who carried out atrocities on Oct 7 and kidnapped children.

Ridiculous authoritarian policy. But, equally importantly, what is he wearing?! We used to have a serious country.
