Rhine, Williamson, Barnett, Young, Osterhouse, Purdy, Coleman, Lopez, Berry, Rardin, the kid from DBU...not sure pal Alabama needs a rising SR Ole Miss reject who with a .287/,400 OBP/SLG in conf play.
This is why I kind of hate Twitter. None of the alleged facts were quite true, and all were MAJOR national news stories. But 50% of replies take the tweet at face value.
1) No Alabama player hid a murder weapon. Brandon Miller was the DD who went to pick up another former (dismissed) player Miles, who got his (Miles's) gun from his stuff in the car to give to Miles's friend, who killed someone. Miles is on trial for capital murder.
2) The Baylor staff involved were all fired and banned from coaching for 10 years. Bliss never coached NCAA basketball again.
3) The Georgia staff member was the driver, and she died so she couldn't be charged. A player was also killed. Jalen Carter was racing them and was convicted of reckless driving.
More people were more upset about Brendan Sorsby betting on games he didn’t play in than an Alabama player hiding a murder weapon, a Baylor basketball player murdering a teammate, Georgia players driving reckless and killing staff members. Integrity schmegrity. Y’all don’t care
It was Alabama’s first CWS appearance since 1999.
Spent 10 weeks ranked
Lots of exciting freshman in Hines and Upchurch.
Hard to not be excited about the future of Alabama Baseball
Alabama has landed its third commitment via the transfer portal in right-handed pitcher Michael Senay from USF. In 2026 as a freshman, he posted a 3.67 ERA and 1.07 WHIP, with 55 strikeouts in 81 innings pitched. He will have three more years of eligibility as he enters his sophomore season.
BREAKING: USF RHP Michael Senay has committed to Alabama, he tells @_aroundthehorn_ . The D1 Midseason Freshman of the Year posted a 3.78 ERA with 55 strikeouts across 81 innings pitched.
Mercer transfer pitcher Garrett Lambert (@_garrettlambert) is transferring to Alabama.
The Georgia native played in two seasons (2024, 2026) with the Bears. He missed the 2025 season due to injury.
Lambert finished those two seasons with a 7-1 record and a 4.12 ERA. In 89.2 innings, he recorded 110 strikeouts and 33 walks. Opponents held just a .224 batting average against him.
With Alabama potentially losing two starters, Lambert figures to compete for a starting role on the weekends.
How do you feel about this commitment for the Crimson Tide? 🤔
To these amazing coaches - thank you for believing in a young man with a dream and taking him in as your own. We love this program and everyone we have met along the way! To quote Johnny - “Southern hospitality is real”.
Farewell for now, Tuscaloosa! Roll Tide! ❤️🐘✈️
As an aside, I predict Oklahoma will be the most UNDERRATED team in the SEC going into the spring (per the journos, SIDs, and 3rd party media)
I think OU will be badass in baseball this spring.
Would I have loved to have gone further? Absolutely. But the fact that Coach Vaughn got this team to Omaha despite having the worst fielding and hitting metrics in the SEC is nothing short of admirable, and I’m excited for the future with him at the helm.
6th in RPI
18-12 in conference play, good for 4th in the SEC
Hosted and Won the first regional of the Rob Vaughn Era and the first since 2023
Hosted and Won the University’s first Super Regional since 2006
Made the CWS for the first time in admin’s lifetime
Probably the worst way we could’ve gone out in Omaha, but we went out in Omaha. I truly hate that the year ended this way, but in reflection, this was an objectively successful season. Despite several crippling injuries, The Tide accomplished the following:
Alabama head coach Rob Vaughn was asked if he would do anything different next time he is in the CWS.
"Nothing I would've changed, just probably embraced this a little bit more. I would probably have enjoyed the moment a little more. And every dude I talked to warned me about that, but you just put your head down and try to get a job done. And unfortunately, it came up a little short, but what a ride."
“This is what Joey Volchko did to Texas.”
@Tommy_brown18 is the brother of Georgia pitcher Zach Brown, and he’s making a sign ahead of every ⚾️ game for the Dawgs
