So many people are quitting smoking that there's not enough money to help smokers quit? Forgive me for saying, but that's a profoundly stupid observation. ALL states are heavily dependent on cigarette sin taxes to pad their budgets. ALL stint on smoking cessation funding.

This guy deletes and re-replies the same AI-generated comment to clear out the undefensable replies he got. Had like 4 replies that completely nullified what he said. New meta on X to clear comments you don't like. Just go argue with chat gpt privately, Jerome.

Why'd you delete and repost the same reply? Couldn't handle the valid pushback that shredded your spin? Save the AI generated talking points for someone else. Your fatal flaw: Cigarettes are fatal. Alternatives like vapes and pouches aren't.

Adding a thought here, respectfully: The risk differential is real and well-established: * Cigarettes involve combustion → thousands of toxic chemicals * Noncombustible products → substantially reduced exposure to those toxicants Many people misunderstand or underestimate how large the difference actually is. For the many smokers who can’t or don’t want to quit nicotine — which does not cause the illnesses and deaths resulting from smoking — it isn’t about both cigarettes and vapes being “bad,” but about moving down the well-established continuum of risk to an option that is much safer. Many members of the armed services — I see you’re a proud Navy vet (thank you) — do exactly this for very good reasons. I hope that helps.

From the study: "The overall certainty of the evidence was rated very low due to the risk of bias in the studies and evidence of publication bias across the studies." pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/4174… As opposed to Cochrane's high certainty evidence of the opposite conclusion.

@grok describe the scenario where this person uses critical thinking to research the correct answer with use of the socratic method and then quietly leaves the conversation when they realize they were mistaken about oil based additives being present in nicotine vaping.

Your little article contains health misinformation about relative risks. According to the @US_FDA, such misinformation reduces smoking cessation. And there is no longer any question about this: Nicotine vapes are much safer and help people quit smoking. So please #QuitLying.

6/ Bottom line: The consistency across meta-analyses is striking—nicotine e-cigs can help people quit smoking. The challenge now is how to use this evidence responsibly in policy and practice. 📄 Open access: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… @Oxford_TAG

Thank you to the World Health Organization for allowing Community Notes to correct the record on some common myths that many people may not have known were myths.
E-cigarettes are harmful to you and the people around you. Second-hand emissions: 🔴Typically contain nicotine, ultrafine particles and potential #cancer-causing substances 🔴Linked with increased risk of heart 🫀 and lung 🫁 disorders 👉bit.ly/3lV5IXC
Community note
The post claims second-hand e-cigarette emissions are linked to heart and lung disorders. Evidence shows exposure to nicotine and particles is 7-10 times lower than from tobacco smoke, with no health risks identified for bystanders. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/upl… ucl.ac.uk/news/2024/jul/… pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC45…

After 16 years, my @YouTube channel (GrimmGreen) was terminated today with no real explanation. I’ve built my content around harm reduction, helping adult smokers quit, and advocating for science-based policies. This feels like a huge mistake. If you believe in THR, free speech, and the mission we’ve been on, please help me get YouTube’s attention. @TeamYouTube I’m asking for a real human to review my case. I’ve never promoted anything illegal. I’ve never targeted youth. I’ve worked tirelessly to be a responsible voice in the vaping and harm reduction space. But like many creators in this space, it seems I’ve been swept up in an overly aggressive moderation wave.

To everyone in the global tobacco harm-reduction community. Consumers, advocates, scientists, independent researchers, frontline vape-shop professionals, and policy experts. Thank you! Your commitment, your evidence-driven voices, and your refusal to give up on safer alternatives have changed lives. You’ve stood up against misinformation, stigma, and policy environments that too often ignore the lived experiences of people who have actually made the switch. This music video is dedicated to you, the people pushing for a future where fewer families are harmed by smoking, and where adults have access to tools that genuinely work. But the mission is far from over. Millions still smoke, and far too many are making decisions in an environment clouded by misinformation. When the truth about safer alternatives is distorted or hidden, people are left without the knowledge they need to make informed, potentially life-changing choices. And while the consequences fall on individuals and families, the conversations and policies shaping these choices often exclude the voices of those most affected. If you’ve switched from cigarettes to a reduced-harm product, or you know someone who has, please share this post. Help us amplify real stories, real science, and real hope. The more people who hear it, the more lives we can change. Let’s keep moving forward. The work continues, and so does our collective impact.
