Boravia being older than Israel is hilarious
15 Jul 2025
FYI the fictional country of Boravia was introduced in Superman #2 - 1939. Which was written by the original creators.

Classic Doctor Who was cancelled when it was on a creative high not seen since the 70s New Who went out like a horse being shot after breaking its leg and hauled to the glue factory

You went to motherfucking Erewon of course the food is high quality lol
I canโ€™t lieโ€ฆ the food in America is ridiculous. Everyone talks about portion sizes but nobody talks enough about how GOOD everything tastes. Even the โ€œquickโ€ food feels elite compared to what Iโ€™m used to in the UK.

In a recent video Tom Scott advocated for getting rid of subscriber counts citing them being outdated and we should put more stock in long term channel views

All the time. Watch the films
has the James Bond series ever tried to properly grapple with the fact that Bond is less of a spy or even really a hero and is pretty evidently a hatchet man

The solution to the budget issue is to just make every episode 90 minutes and a base under siege
The Doctor is famed for having powers of regeneration, but the shape-shifting Time Lordโ€™s next transformation could well be the most challenging yet. Thatโ€™s the early verdict of UK industry insiders after the BBC dropped a TARDIS bombshell on Wednesday, when the broadcaster announced a major creative rethink of 'Doctor Who.' Gone is a Christmas special, which had been greenlit only eight months previously. And, perhaps more consequentially, showrunner Russell T Davies and producer Bad Wolf have abandoned ship. Two insiders said it was a mutual parting of the ways after all sides realized that 'Doctor Who' required a level of surgery that could not be masked by the sticking plaster of a festive episode. This creative surgery is expected to take years, potentially keeping the show off TV until 2028 at the earliest, sources said Read the full story here: deadline.com/2026/06/doctor-โ€ฆ (Photo: BBC)

The replies are so satisfying We had so many years of โ€˜just bring Tennant backโ€™ and now no one thinks this is the solution anymore In a way Iโ€™m kinda glad they did it, it failed, and now we never have to discuss it happening again

Migration is falling yet the quality of life is still terrible in the UK. Yet, they'll never run out of scapegoats to protect austerity
Odd to see Tories claim "mass migration is still happening" as if there has been no change. Here's the latest:-

The Sun Makers is one on the most left wing stories in Doctor Who. I think you're delusional
Replying to @gewoonzim
He also waged war against the international Jewish conspiracy in the sun makers, he had deep politics.

I remember listening to this part of the score for The Reality War when it was released early. I had high hopes for the moment. Then it was used for THIS scene...
We really ended Doctor Who with an episode that contained this

It's because of the financing of the show post-Covid. Writing had very little to do with it.
The audacity is hilarious. We are in this mess BECAUSE of the Chibnall era. RTD2 was a bigger mess yes, but don't get it twisted, it was already in the shit long before he came back.

People keep droning on about the writing in the Chibnall era but avoiding the real world issue of financing. RTD offered a solution to help get confidence from Disney. Never before had Doctor Who's success and writing been so closely tied to its future and RTD fucked it
chris chibnall and jodie whittaker didnโ€™t get the show cancelled immediately after their run btw just saying ๐Ÿคญ
