Healthcare costs are insane!🤯How many of us have decided not to seek treatment to save some money?💸That's what #dudpthod3 is trying to promote with a motion for value-based care models in physical therapy at Duke University's House of Dukelegates on May 20th!
Delegate from @DukeHod3 leaves it up to @APTAtweets for the timeline then @KaylaHolz of @DukeHOD13 opposes the motion- the motion goes to a vote and the motion is adopted & @Babette94279360 asks when the appropriate time is to ask for reconsideration of a previous vote #dudpthod

Advances in technology could be transformative for analyzing and synthesizing data to improve patient care. Join us May 20th to see how technology and value based care can help improve patient outcomes. #dudpthod
Other countries like Australia have been using a Value Based Care System for decades. It’s time our health care model catches up. Join us May 20th for Duke DPT’s House of Dukelegates where we will petition to get our motion for VBC in inpatient rehab adopted. #dudpthod
The average inpatient rehab stay can cost anywhere from $5,000-$20,000 depending on diagnosis, clinic, etc. This cost is already a burden for many, but what if the care received was guaranteed to be of higher value to decrease the chances of needing further care? #dudpthod
