65% of executives think introverts are bad leaders: However, Harvard research suggests the opposite. Introverts notice everything but often go unnoticed. They form the majority of gifted individuals yet face biases. Let's change that perception.

John Wooden's definition of SUCCESS is second to none. He said... "Success is peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you're capable." In his Ted Talk below, Wooden shares so much wisdom. Here is a summary of his insights... 1. PERSONAL IMPROVEMENT: Success should not be solely defined by winning but rather by doing your best and striving for personal improvement. Success is not about being better than others but about doing your best and finding peace of mind through self-satisfaction. 2. TEACHING: Wooden was a master teacher. He once said, "They ask me why I teach, and I reply, 'Where could I find such splendid company?'" 3. EDUCATION: John Wooden prioritized education over basketball for his players: "I always tried to make the youngsters feel that they're there to get an education, number one; basketball was second." 4. DEFINITION OF SUCCESS: John Wooden's definition of success is based on the cornerstones of industriousness and enthusiasm and the apex of faith and patience. 5. EFFORT: Effort matters more than the score: "If you make an effort to do the best you can regularly, the results will be about what they should be." 6. THE JOURNEY: According to John Wooden, the journey is more important than the destination. Therefore, it is critical to trust the process. 7. SATISFACTION: John Wooden's satisfaction comes from seeing his players reach their full potential, even if they were not initially seen as talented. _____ Follow me for Actionable Ideas on Coaching, Leadership, and Personal Growth. Actions over words. Two sayings that never seem to cut it for me - β€˜my bad’ & β€˜I’m sorry’. If you are wise enough to acknowledge a mistake, you’re certainly intelligent enough to fix it. The choice is yours to make.

Culture doesn't change when a coach tells a player he's wrong; it changes when a player tells a player, THAT'S NOT HOW WE DO THINGS HERE.
