Starlinks for Ukraine are paid for by the Polish Digitization Ministry at the cost of about $50 million per year. The ethics of threatening the victim of aggression apart, if SpaceX proves to be an unreliable provider we will be forced to look for other suppliers.

I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off. What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose. Anyone who really cares, really thinks and really understands wants the meat grinder to stop. PEACE NOW!!

After 9/11, NATO's Article 5 was invoked for the first (and only) time ever by the United States. Troops from the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Spain, Poland, Norway, Romania, Turkey, New Zealand, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Finland, and many others joined the fight in Afghanistan. More than one thousand of these soldiers paid the ultimate price. JD Vance - Have you said 'thank you' once for their sacrifice?

Something that's interesting to me is that Americans hold this belief because that's the narrative their country feed them. The American culture of patriotism leads them to a belief in American exceptionalism. They are told that America is leading the world in freedom, democracy, and opportunity. The US curriculum seems to be incredibly US centric when it comes to geography, history, culture, and politics. I would surmise a lot of the media they consume is primarily US produced as well. I think, historically there was an 'American Dream' aspiration. However, I'd say that started to diminish around 50 years ago, and in western and European countries, has lost value. I also think that social media has illuminated the systemic issues within the US to the rest of the world, which means that, while children and teens are still exposed to US media, because they can see the realities, they aren't drawn-in by it in the same way millennials and older generations were. There is so much data available that shows that America is falling behind in all the areas they claim to be leading in. The only source that justifies their high regard of their country, is what has been systemically and deliberately fed to them from their own country. They've been indoctrinated into their excessive, blind patriotism and people like the OP are blind to it. I guess, in simple terms, my thought is: If the only evidence you have that your country is great comes from your country telling you its great, is that not a red flag?
