St Stephen's church is an acoustic gem in the Bay Area, and this will be a very special event! #Belvedere @OtherMindsSF
@AudubonCA & partners released their SF Bay Eelgrass Habitat Suitability Model, a powerful new tool that highlights future-resilient locations within the bay most suitable for restoration of eelgrass, a linchpin species for long-term bay health.
What an awesome recognition from Bay Nature magazine for our director @katharyn_boyer 🤩🤿
Her excellence in environmental education inspires and reflects what we do as an organization to train the next generation of bay science and conservation leaders 🌈🌊🌎
The EOS Center just awarded a 2nd round of student support from the @MaxwellHanrahan Foundation to marine science artists!
"Creating visual interpretations of science can be a powerful way to reinforce concepts not just for the viewer but for the scientist-artist” 🙌🎨🐳
Big news of substantial new funding from the State Coastal Conservancy @ca_coastal for climate action initiatives @SFSU@EOS_Center! We are so grateful for the opportunity to delve into these exciting new projects with our students in the SF Bay 🙏🤩

Regarding “The only marine science lab on San Francisco Bay is at risk of closing. Here’s what’s at stake” (Climate, SFChronicle.com, June 10).
We couldn't have said it better 🙏
Our colleagues @EOS_Center offer a dynamic vision (eoscenter.sfsu.edu/future) that really delivers in terms of coastal ecosystem resilience in response to climate change effects. But it needs & deserves financial support. Keep alive the ONLY marine science lab on - and for - SF Bay
Thanks for the outpouring of kind words and dismay since this front page article on Monday in the @sfchronicle. We certainly agree that the SF Bay needs a marine lab now more than ever. Pls send ideas and contacts for @SFSU@EOS_Center survival and thrival!
The Estuary and Ocean Science Center in Tiburon, run by San Francisco State, has worked on some of San Francisco Bay’s most pressing ecological issues, but financial problems threaten the site’s future. trib.al/sYVeX80
The funding will also bring on early-career conservation scientists from @EOS_Center to study the regrowth--yet another reason to save #SFBay's only marine science lab! (more on that here: sfchronicle.com/climate/arti…)
I am proud to be an @EOS_Center alumni! This is a really special place training the next generation of marine scientists in sf bay. I hope a plan can be realized to save it.

🙌 our underwater forests are getting a boost! Almost $3M will fund eelgrass restoration in Richardson Bay. Eelgrass provides refuge and food for fish, juvenile Dungeness #crabs, #birds, and other creatures and also helps improve #waterquality. @AudubonCAmarinij.com/2023/06/09/richa…
Grateful for @sfchronicle coverage of the urgent challenges we face at the @SFSU@EOS_Center. Our critical work to support the region's climate resiliency is needed now more than ever. Check out our vision for the future and consider supporting us! 🌊🙏 eoscenter.sfsu.edu/future

We had so much fun sharing our lab's research at the @EOS_Center's Marine Lab Open House this past weekend! It was wonderful having visitors of all ages back on campus to learn about the different marine research happening in #SFBay! 🤗 #SERCWest#Science#Education#Outreach
