I’m grateful & humbled to have been elected to the Board of the Classical Liberal Caucus (@LP_CLC). At a time when politics is increasingly driven by division & tribalism, I’m proud to be part of a movement focused on liberty, individual rights, & practical solutions.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that your vote doesn’t matter or is wasted. Every vote counts.
Congratulations to Scott Peterson on his election victory! Out of 491 ballots cast, this runoff was decided by just 3 votes. THREE VOTES. No vote is a wasted vote. Want more results this fall? ➡️ Volunteer: lptexas.org/volunteer ➡️ Donate: lptexas.org/donate

“Those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it.” In 1954, Operation Wetback brought mass raids and deportations to the Borderland. Government promised a simple fix; yet it expanded state power, swept up innocent people, and left lasting scars on our community.
bill to provide nearly $70 billion for immigration enforcement narrowly passed the House on Tuesday and now goes to President Donald Trump for his signature, fueling the administration’s deportation agenda for the remainder of his time in the White House. bit.ly/4uuMNjY

Libertarians understand that when government is given extraordinary powers to solve a crisis, those powers rarely stay limited. Before cheering for mass deportation schemes, remember: El Paso already lived through one, and it didn’t end well. Liberty requires a long memory.

TEMU SECDEF strikes again. Get a warrant.
America faces real threats from foreign adversaries, terrorists, cyber actors, and hostile intelligence services. Section 702 remains one of our nation’s most effective tools for identifying and disrupting those threats before they reach our shores. The bipartisan Senate reauthorization strengthens both security and civil liberties by adding new safeguards, increasing transparency, expanding congressional oversight, imposing criminal penalties for misuse, and enhancing protections for Americans’ constitutional rights. Democrats are choosing to halt action on reauthorization, undermining national security and putting politics ahead of the safety of the American people. At a time of growing threats around the world, Congress should be strengthening the tools that protect our nation—not weakening them. We call on Senator Schumer and Senator Warner to bring Senate Democrats back to the table with Senate Republicans and pass this critical piece of legislation. Reauthorizing Section 702 is about protecting Americans’ privacy and protecting Americans’ security. We can—and must—do both.
Community note
Both Democrats and seven Republicans voted against advancing the FISA 702 extension in a 47-52 procedural vote. cbsnews.com/news/senate-fi… senate.gov/legislative/LI…

While we may agree on specific policies or topics; Libertarians are not Democrats and are not Republicans. We will not support or endorse candidates from either duopoly party. We will be single issue, coalition partners when needed to advance liberty.

“We will have people going out to support the candidates by door-knocking, phone banking, putting out signs, donating to the effort, working with their county parties, running their state parties — and that is how we will elect people to office and change this country. We will end the bureaucracy through the next generation of our membership. I want us to change the policy so that the next generation is freer. But that starts at membership. That starts by having an LNC that functions well and isn’t embarrassing or alienating us from other people. Let’s be proud Libertarians again.” - LNC Chair Evan McMahon @LPchair

It is depressing that Texas voters have to choose between a grifting adulterer dirtbag and an extreme far left lunatic with heretical and unacceptable cultural, theological, and political positions. Neither are acceptable candidates. Neither are conservative. Neither are moderate. Neither are fit for office. Any attempt to criticize one by defending the other is intellectually and morally deficient. BOTH candidates are unworthy of one’s support. It is not just that I CAN hold both positions at once (Paxton is personally unfit; Talarico is positionally unfit) - it is that I MUST hold both positions at once.

Texas voters who think Bo French is unqualified and a complete wacko can vote for Libertarian candidate Arthur DiBianca in November. votedibianca.com/

Texas Republicans followed the orders of their Orange Master and nominated corrupt AG Ken Paxton for Senator. The good news is that John Cornyn, a poster boy for term limits, will leave office in a few months. For Texans who want an independent Senator who defends the Constitution, there is a third choice in November.

Lots of Republicans won’t vote for Paxton. So yes - there’s a very good shot Talarico can win in November. I’m supporting @TedBrownLiberty because I believe he truly wants to serve and bring fiscal responsibility to DC.
