🛟SOS Strategy of the Week: 3 Truths & 1 Lie Using 3️⃣truthful statements &1️⃣false statement from the teacher, students analyze content for accuracy and provide evidence to support thinking.

🛟SOS Strategy of the Week: Whittle It Down Students summarize info from a piece of media independently, then➡️small group, finally➡️ whole class. Students work independently, then collaboratively, to “whittle down” a list of vocabulary words to most important for understanding.

🛟SOS Strategy of the Week: Flip Flop🩴🩴 This strategy allows students to practice metacognition by challenging them to reflect on their own thinking about the content. It requires students to carefully consider their preconceptions and how their thinking changes over time.

I got to help out with the @Connect2Texas programs this morning! Since the theme was #ReadAcrossAmerica-Texas Style, I got to watch providers read books like Buffalo Fluffalo to students. I also got to "meet" Flynn the Wallaby! 🤩
