This type of spending is not kosher!
Some of the frivolous September purchases made under Secretary Pete Hegseth’s stewardship include a $98,329 Steinway & Sons grand piano for the Air Force chief of staff’s home, $5.3 million for Apple devices such as the new iPad, and an astronomical amount of shellfish, including $2 million for Alaskan king crab and $6.9 million worth of lobster tail. (Lobster tail is apparently a favorite of Hegseth’s Pentagon—the department spent more than $7.4 million total on the luxury item in March, May, June, and October.) In other pricey food purchases, the government decided to drop $15.1 million for ribeye steak (again, just in September), $124,000 for ice cream machines, and $139,224 on 272 orders of doughnuts.

“It’s always hard for a person without a strong core to maintain a stand.”
Column: Yes, Trump has broken his vow not to start foreign wars. What’s worse is than in the major theaters of foreign policy—the Mideast, Europe and Asia—he's led along by foreign leaders. And Netanyahu, Putin and Xi do not have U.S. interests at heart. latimes.com/opinion/story/20…

Only Donald Trump could exaggerate, lie, and compliment himself nonstop for almost two full hours and be described as showing restraint. What are we doing here, folks?
Trump’s State of the Union was notable for something his second term has largely lacked: restraint. But the issues he avoided addressing could haunt him in November. politico.com/news/2026/02/25…

If I’m @usahockey and @NHL, or the NHL teams, I’m busy today playing out different crisis comms scenarios for the questions they might get tomorrow.

I don’t want to ruin this for all of the people the Trump Administration will lie about attending… but the twist is a rip-off of The Crying Game.
‘MELANIA’ is on track to flop domestically and earn $2M-$5M on its opening weekend. Amazon spent $40M for acquiring the rights of the film plus $35M on marketing.

How ironic. Trump fired the only person on his security team not on the Signal chat.

TRUMP says STEFANIK will rejoin House Republican leadership. Johnson can create a position for her at the leadership table -- chair of the leadership or something like that. To be honest, the "she's rejoining the leadership team" has taken a lot of members of the leadership by surprise! Congress!

The ending of this sounded like the speechwriter thought: “oh crap, I forgot to overwrite a section.”

To be fair, it’s more likely someone calls his office and says they saw Smallhand.
“If someone calls your office and says they saw Bigfoot, that doesn’t mean they saw Bigfoot. You have a sense of responsibility as a running mate, and he certainly does as the candidate, to not promote false information, right?”

Come for the political punches, stay for the apostrophe battle.
There’s an apostrophe battle brewing among grammar nerds. Is it Harris’ or Harris’s?

“You kind of take one for the whole team." A telling and damning answer for why you didn’t stand up for our democracy.
WATCH: Former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel says she doesn’t support freeing those charged and convicted with crimes related to January 6th — something Donald Trump has promised to do if re-elected. @kwelkernbc: “Why not speak out earlier?” @RonnaMcDaniel: “When you’re the RNC Chair, you kind of take one for the whole team."
