Today at the Paris Call for the 2 state solution, I discussed with civil society organisations - they are our best partners on the ground.
That is why we fund:
- Palestinian CSOs with โฌ 51 million and
- โ Israeli CSOs with โฌ 20 million.
This way we support democratic renewal and peace, security & prosperity.
Todayโs Call will be heard by the G7 next week, because:

The EU now partners with 88 Israeli and Palestinian civil society organisations, fostering dialogue, strengthening womenโs leadership and supporting independent media.
To date, we have mobilised over โฌ20 million for grassroots peacebuilding efforts.

In ๐ซ๐ท Paris today. Meeting with @jnbarrot ahead of the Conference on โThe Paris Call for the Two-State Solutionโ.
I am grateful for the leadership of France on this and also the whole region.
We agreed on need for access of humanitarian aid to Gaza and cessation of violence by extremist settlers in the West Bank as well as the reform of Palestinian Authority.
I look forward to continuing these discussions at the Palestine Donor Group meeting in Brussels on 13 July.

I spoke to Iranโs Foreign Minister @araghchi about the latest escalation in the Gulf and the state of negotiations with the US.
Iโve also been in touch with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The resumed attacks on the Gulf countries and their critical infrastructure are unacceptable.
A return to full-scale war would come at a tremendous cost to the entire region. The diplomatic route remains the best path out of this war.

The latest ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon offers a chance to prevent a return to full-scale hostilities.
But the death of a UNIFIL peacekeeper and continued skirmishes underscore the tenuous nature of what was agreed.
The best way to reduce the threat posed by Hezbollah is to strengthen the Lebanese state, empower its institutions, and restore its monopoly on the use of force.
To support this effort, the EU today agreed to provide an extra โฌ100 million to Lebanonโs Armed Forces.
