Today in Aqaba, @ASEZA2001, @EUinJordan, and @UNDPJordan marked the cornerstone-laying ceremony of the Creative Circular Economy Center.
Rooted in the 9Rs approach, the Center will support Aqaba’s shift towards circular economy solutions that reduce waste, create green economic opportunities and strengthen sustainable resource management.

In #Aqaba, a new step begins towards more sustainable resource management.
The Creative Circular Economy Center, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, will support reuse, repair, creative recycling and remanufacturing, with a designed capacity to process 1,500 tonnes per year.
The Center is expected to contribute to reducing emissions by 18% compared with a landfill scenario, equivalent to approximately 5,414 tonnes of CO₂e per year.
This Center is funded by the @EUinJordan and implemented by @UNDPJordan .
