In #Aqaba, a new step begins towards more sustainable resource management. The Creative Circular Economy Center, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, will support reuse, repair, creative recycling and remanufacturing, with a designed capacity to process 1,500 tonnes per year. The Center is expected to contribute to reducing emissions by 18% compared with a landfill scenario, equivalent to approximately 5,414 tonnes of CO₂e per year. The National Consultative Dialogue on Business and Human Rights convened today, organized by the National Centre for Human Rights, in partnership with @UNDPJordan and with support from the Government of the Netherlands. The dialogue provided a platform to discuss national and international frameworks on business and human rights, including the role of government in enforcing legislation and the role of the private sector in applying human rights due diligence and duty of both government and business sector in securing access to remedy, in line with international standards and best practices.
