Supporting @TroyTrojansBSB while also celebrating my future nuptials with my groomsmen in Louisville! (I left my WVU hat at home and Amazon couldn’t deliver one fast enough). Also if you are ever in Louisville check out @CopperAndKings

I had a student just put “Drake Maye is a dawg,” on the extra feedback section in the eval for one of my classes and while I agree with the sentiment I don’t know if it was valuable feedback for the class.

This morning, I am the Monday Morning Economist. Big thanks to Jadrian for humoring me on this piece and partnering on letting everyone know some Video Game Theory
One of the most popular video games of the year is also being called one of the “chillest” PvP shooters, which is not how this genre usually works. I teamed up with @EconTrudeau to explain why ARC Raiders looks like a game of hawks and doves. mondayeconomist.com/p/arc-ra…

Auburn hosted a conversation with Matthew Mercer last week . I'm so sad because I am in driving distance and that is the kind of awesome academic thing I would love to attend. How does one stay plugged in to these types of events? cla.auburn.edu/news/articles…

Occupational licensing boards don’t protect the public; they protect incumbents. Stacked with industry insiders, they block competition, raise prices, and hurt workers. The long term fix, says @sslivinski, is to end licensing laws. The short term fix? End licensing boards. cato.org/briefing-paper/case…

I asked my online Intl Econ students to interview someone they know about their feelings on tariffs. One of my students interviewed their partner's mother, who was quoted as saying, "I've been here long enough to know that jobs come and go, but those high prices stick around."

All the students did a great job and I got so many varied interviewees from bosses, to parents, to local business owners. Many responses varied from free market to protectionist, but this one hit me differently from the rest.

It's SOLI Release Day aka the day I get to share what we've been able to achieve on this project over the last year. As always, amazing thanks to the Archbridge Institute for giving this project a home.

Thanks to a colleague asking me if I had a website I have done my semi-yearly (?) update of everything there including CV, teaching resources, and added a photo of our new kitten. One day I may even replace my 2018 headshot. noahtrudeau.com

Happy to announce the name of my fantasy football team this year and share their logo. Draft to come but we’re rooting for Projected Hail Mary in the coming months.
