Excited to share one of my PhD projects with @EdNeuroLab-the first neuroimaging study on fraction processing in children! Our findings showed that even 2nd graders, who haven't received formal fraction instruction, can process fraction magnitudes. dx.doi.org/10.1111/desc.7004…

🙈🙉🙊 New preprint alert 🙊🙉🙈 Are baboons good statisticians? Can they recognize the trend of a noisy scatterplot? What do they base their judgments on? The answers are in our new preprint with @StanDehaene and other amazing collaborators. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Re-sharing this database of BIPOC-authored papers from across psychology. This is a wonderful resource, esp. for those aiming to diversify their syllabi, journal clubs, citation networks, and general awareness. Please add your or others' papers! docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

Introducing the Action-Mode Network – AMN. Better late than never! 17 years ago, we clumsily called this the Cingulo-opercular Network (CON) based on its anatomy (we weren’t exactly sure what it does). Now we’ve finally got the evidence to give it the functional name it deserves: the Action-mode Network (AMN). Find our arguments here: osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/2v… with the peerless Marc Raichle and the brilliant @gordonneuro. 🧵 ↓

Problem solved! Thank you so much. In the future, I'll be standehaene.bsky.social, and I'll try to catch up with many of you there. BTW, is there an app to easily post the same or similar content on two networks?

Many scientists have been moving to another social network where the sky is bluer, interactions are gentler, and ideas smell better... I'd love to join, but unfortunately, I haven't received an invitation code yet -- could anyone help ? Thanks!

Excited to share our new research (with @StanDehaene). Reading is a challenging visual task. The neural circuits that enable us to distinguish b/w FROM and FORM regardless of size/position remains unknown. We tackle this using computational modeling and brain imaging.
