This.
Reading through @Turnitin's new white paper on their AI detection software. My goodness. Some serious obfuscation of research. Here's what I found and what I think it means for K12 writing instruction (you can read the paper here: go.turnitin.com/l/45292/2023…)

What are you doing to create the future of assessment? Yesterday was a great way working with The British School in The Netherlands. One of the questions we tackled was what to do about assessments when students are using AI. We are in a liminal space. Things we’ve β€˜always’ done are losing meaning. Creating the future of assessment will take a variety of approaches.

I love this!
Yesterday in class, we explored the birth of ethnic studies through the lens of Pixar's storytelling structure. The results were amazing! This framework really helped students sequence events effectively. Plus, we got a fun bonus – watching a Pixar short for inspiration! πŸŽ¬πŸ“š

How will #ChatGPT change education? Some predictions: 1. More flipped classrooms. (Video lectures as "homework," hands-on projects in class.) 2. Fewer take-home exams. 3. The rise of a new breed of oral exams. (Dissertation defense meets Socrates meets TED Talk.)
