Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kilduff family this morning. Firefighter Bobby Kilduff was a hero and an exceptional firefighter, labor leader, U.S. Marine and person. God Bless the Kilduff family and the men and women of the Boston Fire Department. @THE_PFFM @LOCAL_718

During Wednesday’s @BOSCityCouncil meeting, I believe the city council likely violated state law (MA Open Meeting Law).During a recess on Wednesday, city councilors negotiated privately with staff from the mayor’s office regarding the FY27 budget. We must demonstrate transparency!
Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn said the public has “lost complete faith” in the scandal-plagued City Council and is renewing his push for “comprehensive ethics reform.” bostonherald.com/2026/06/13/…

On this hot night, hundreds of caring South Boston neighbors attended the “Lower End Lemonade” to support a wonderful family that are victims of a recent gun related assault. We can’t ignore crime and violence in Boston. We need more police officers in our neighborhoods!

BPD still looking for the miscreants who knocked off lil’ kid’s lemonade stand in Southie. “There’s little I can think of more disturbing than the innocence of a children’s lemonade stand being violated by an armed robbery,” said City Councilor Ed Flynn. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/bos…

Boston must always be a city where we reward hard work! We celebrated that determination and resiliency at St. Stephen’s Youth Programs’ Parent Mentor Gradation. These graduates gained invaluable leadership skills & early literacy training, leading to career opportunities at BPS.

We balanced the budget on the backs of paraprofessionals & lower-income women of color. We can’t in good conscience call ourselves the most progressive City in America. That’s not the Boston I was raised in. That’s not the Boston I’m from. #bospoli #mapoli universalhub.com/2026/counci…

My updated statement on yesterday’s reported armed robbery of an 11-year-old & 12-year-old brother & sister’s lemonade stand. An injustice done to one is an injustice done to all. Emblematic of the South Boston I grew up in, the community is showing love & support for the family.

We must acknowledge @BOSCityCouncil has lost the faith and trust of Boston resident. To regain that trust, we must make structural changes in city government with a focus on transparency, ethics, accountability and transparency.Residents deserve an honest & transparent government!
TWO RECOMMENDATIONS RE. COUNCIL ETHICS 1. No Councilor may speak publicly about an alleged impropriety until a fair hearing is held and determination issued. 2. No Councilor may publicly ascribe negative motivations to colleagues in gov't, unless said motivations are knowable.

I’m going to continue to focus on ethics reform and how we make structural changes at Boston City Hall. However, in the final analysis, residents need to play an active part in the future of Boston, our government and how we move forward. The status quo is no longer an option!
@EdforBoston nice try Mr. Ed but how do You change the culture to stop screwing the TAX PAYERS

We must acknowledge the public has lost complete faith and trust in government. Boston residents deserve the highest standards of ethical leadership from city officials. Ethics and honesty can’t be an afterthought at Boston City Hall.
Battenfeld | Mayor Michelle Wu has a lot of questions to answer about the latest messy ethical imbroglio surrounding a city councilor – her hand-picked stooge overseeing a powerful committee. bostonherald.com/2026/06/11/…

We must acknowledge the public has lost faith in @BOSCityCouncil. To regain public trust, we must implement an immediate halt to all council business until we have a serious discussion about ethics. Boston residents deserve the highest standards of leadership from city officials!

This week I refiled a hearing order on expanding our urban tree canopy in District 2. 27% of City land is covered by tree canopy, but Chinatown has only 7% coverage & South Boston only 8%. District 2 is disproportionately impacted by heat island effect & hotter summers #bospoli

With Dept of Public Utilities holding a hearing on TNC regulations, I refiled a resolution supporting Bill S. 1247, which criminalizes sexual assault by rideshare drivers. It prohibits any relations between drivers & passengers, eliminating consent as a defense. #bospoli #mapoli
