You can threaten & seek to intimidate me but you will never silence me when it comes to seeking to protect the stray dogs of Turkey. Their pain & suffering shames Turkey 🇹🇷 @RTErdogan @imamoglu_int #Turkey

Dad, on what would be your 73rd birthday, I remember you for all the hope and joy you brought to the world. There's not a week that goes by without someone sharing with me how you helped them through a dark time or a rough patch. I'm so grateful to be your son. Love you forever.

Just been for a walk round the farm and I’m a bit alarmed by how few butterflies there are. Something is afoot.

Negotiations on amendments to Turkey’s Animal Welfare Law have been delayed until Monday as public anger grows over plans to allow tens of thousands of street dogs to be killed. This is now a battle for human & animal rights in Turkey @RTErdogan @Turkey #Turkey

Has nobody made a film of this? It is a truly amazing event. For younger readers, Allen Funt was the creator of Candid Camera - the 1960s precursor of shows such as You've Been framed

A dog was punched and kicked outside a North London cafe on June 18, in a beating which lasted several minutes. The RSPCA is now investigation the incident, which was reported by a customer at the cafe, located on Lordship Lane in Tottenham. The customer said they saw a sustained attack on the dog, who appeared to have historic injuries, including a swollen eye and mouth. The incident happened at around 12.30pm on June 18, and is believed to have been carried out by the dog's owner. Please 🙏 contact @RSPCA_official if you recognise this animal abuser @DogsTrust

Things I didn't know about James Timpson And they’re all good 👍🏼
Timpson’s are well-known for employing ex-offenders to help them back into work. They pay their tax. They value their staff. And then there’s this. CEO James Timpson (who’s also Chair of the Prison Reform Trust) is the new Prisons Minister. Great appointment

Incredibly moving D Day memorial on BBC with breathtaking drone artistry
✨ incredibly beautiful … Drone displays blow my mind. So graceful and descriptive. The D Day event today is stunning and a reminder of what humans can do when they work together for a common goal and for good. #DDay #ww2

In the late 1990s, Julia Hill climbed a 200 foot (61 meters) approximately 1000-year-old Californian redwood tree & didn't come down for another 738 days. She ultimately reached an agreement with Pacific Lumber Company to spare the tree & a 200-foot buffer zone surrounding the tree.
