It was good to welcome @julianhartley1 and @MiriamDeakin to our @CLCHAcademy in Soho, and talk about the work of our homeless health team based there
It was great to have @julianhartley1 and @MiriamDeakin from @NHSProviders visit us recently to learn more about the work of community services to keep people well closer to home, including our innovative virtual wards and increased use of digital technology.

Thank you @eleanorhayward @thetimes for showcasing the breadth of the vital work community nurses do every day to support people in their own homes, which is all too often overlooked.
Spent the day with an NHS community nurse, going from door to door caring for sick and dying patients in their own homes. Most patients are elderly, live alone and have several chronic illnesses - nurses are often the only ones left to look out for them. thetimes.co.uk/article/nurse…

Just listen to Mehdiya - how cycling has really changed her life - it’s more convenient, saves time (as well as money and carbon).
Our staff transport team has set up a pilot scheme for staff to try out electric and Brompton bikes to reduce our environmental footprint. Mehdiya Suleman, Operational Resilience Administrator, shares her experience using the Brompton bike when travelling between CLCH sites. 👇

It’s been a big day for the country’s finances, with all eyes on expected tax rises and cuts to public spending. In the NHS we headed into the #AutumnStatement with trepidation about what might follow. We emerge in a reasonable place. A🧵 on what today means for the #NHS 1/14
