MALARIA: JK on Oxford vaccine evaluated by Ifakara for children 💉👶 On March 26, 2024, @ifakarahealth participated in the third End Malaria Council meeting in Dar es Salaam. Former President of Tanzania Dr. Jakaya Kikwete emphasized the urgency of combating malaria in Tanzania, one of the top 11 affected countries in Africa. 🦟🌍 Dr. Kikwete, a member of the Global End Malaria Council, commended @Ifakarahealth's significant contributions to malaria research, especially their recent clinical trials on the “R21” vaccine developed by @UniofOxford and @SerumInstIndia. The vaccine, recommended by @WHO last year, holds promise in reducing malaria cases.
