Grok says the NPS has installed a $1.7mil ozone nanobubbler filtration system that kills algae by neutralizing nutrients that algae needs. They're also filtering and treating the water that comes in from tidal basin.

But if you followed my series, the contractor told me (and only me) that they were not hired to fix the pipes and filters. Just waterproof to stop the leaks. National Park Service says they are fixing algae.
